I'm still pissed about 4th and 1 against the Eagles....

Me too.  I never got over that.  And every time I hear that game referred to as "4th and 26," my blood boils.  Calling it that is like giving Sherman a free pass on the 4th and 1 (and that "1" was closer to a foot than a yard) that made it all possible.

AND we were kicking that DL's butt on that drive... Just because he failed on a freak play on fourth and 1 at the goal line, he gives up when the odds favor him...

EXACTLY!  Going from memory, I think up to that point we had over 250 yards rushing.  They couldn't stop us on the ground, and he punts on 4th and a foot when a first down WINS the game!

The Jerry Rice fumble, while vital, was in a Wild Card Round game.

Had we beat the Eagles, we would've destroyed the Panthers. We had an awesome OL, one of the best ever, Favre was still OK other than the occasional brain fart. And Ahman was the Man. Superb Owl was in the grasp of the man from Mass.
