I got to air out my house in Mid-November in Sconnie Land.

Major changes are warranted on this team, including Ted if Mark Murphy feels it's time. This is just a poorly talented team IMO. When you have guys like Brice, Hawkins, Goodson, Fackrell, Perillo, Davis etc playing key roles on this team...these are just guys. Period. You can find a slew of these kind of players all over the NFL.

Not to mention 1st round players in Datone Jones and Nick Perry who also look like, well, just guys.

They are not 1-2 players away kids, This team is in full rebuild. And there are a lot of holes to be filled.

+ Considering we were short on olinemen, the offense had some good plays. Lots of time to work on timing with the pass game. I believe it will pay off in the future. Starks looked better than he did pre injury. Adams and Jordy played well. I cannot fault the playcalling. (I guess a not complain now becomes a positive)

- I loved some of the fire on defense but it did not help stop our porous defensive backfield. Injurys to Bak and Ryan. Why do we have 7 wrs but no backup true MLB? Just the wrong injurys to the wrong players.

The special teams gaffs may have been in the - category but I think that Davis was down and on the ball but was poked in the eye and lost it in the scrum. Onside kick was borderline negative but at least they tried it. Crosby missed one but hit another. Meh.

+  I did get to wash and wax the car and change the oil in the snowblower, so there's that.

- like others have said, i didn't even try to watch the game, only listen to it on radio, that is not really a good thing for the packers. there is no excitement right now, its spreading and I am not sure how the team will change things...seems beyond 1 or 2 players or even the coach, it seems like its systemic.  it pains me to say this.  it hurts.

Just Like a Woman

Bob Dylan

L
Nobody feels any pain
Tonight as I stand inside the rain
Ev'rybody knows
That Baby's got new clothes
But lately I see her ribbons and her bows
Have fallen from her curls
She takes just like a woman, yes, she does
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl
Queen Mary
She's my friend
Yes, I believe I'll go see her again
Nobody has to guess
That Baby can't be blessed
Till she sees finally that she's like all the rest
With her fog, her amphetamine and her pearls
She takes just like a woman, yes
She makes love just like a woman, yes, she does
And she aches just like a woman
But she breaks just like a little girl
It was raining from the first
And I was dying there of thirst
So I came in here
And your long-time curse hurts
But what's worse
Is this pain in here
I can't stay in here
Ain't it clear that
I just can't fit
Yes, I believe it's time for us to quit
But when we meet again
Introduced as friends
Please don't let on that you knew me when
I was hungry and it was your world
Ah, you fake just like a woman, yes, you do
You make love just like a woman, yes, you do
Then you ache just like a woman
But you break just like a little girl

IN all seriousness yes, the division is still there to be had.  As far as getting hot and making a run if they do get in...not so much.  I do think MM is gone barring a Super Bowl.  I think TT gets one more year, if he wants it.  IN pro sports coaches go first then the responsibility falls on the players and if the crap show continues then they will start to see the exit door.

+Strong play from young players. I like the game and season Adams is having. He and Cobb seem to play hard throughout. Allison had a strong catch and run. Looks like he could be a player down the road! Elliot had a really nice game. Spriggs had a bad play, but overall I liked what he did especially against power rushers.

-Our leaders who "lead by example" are setting a piss poor example. Reckless, playing with poor fundamentals, and not even being available. Sets a bad tone.

You are right man, that just goes to show how bad our division is right now.

If they can take care of business in division (win all 3 at the end of season) and win 3 of the next 4 games.  They finish 10-6 and that would be good enough.  9-7 might be cutting it.. so 2-2 coupled with winning the last 3 might be good enough too... but they need to win those division games for certain.

I agree with you, and yet I'm not sure if that's a positive or a negative.  I will say that Seattle made the playoffs as a 7-9 division champ in 2010, then won a Super Bowl 3 years later.  That said, if the Pack were to win this division at 7-9, I don't feel like that would be a springboard to anything other than a quiet whimpering of a quick and dirty playoff exit.

No sir, if anything it was worse.

The dagger was just when the defense finally makes a stop and we are supposed to get the ball back down "only" by 13, Daniels gets an Unsporstmanlike Conduct penalty to keep the drive alive. Titans scored a play or 2 later to go up by 20 late in the 3rd quarter and you could tell it was over at that point. A putrid ending to a putrid performance.

Before that, the Titans made the defense look like high schoolers and the offense looked like granny did in fact die until they were down by 3 touchdowns. It was depressing and pathetic.

For the first time in my life I stopped watching a Packer game. Never thought I could do that.

Individual performances by Adams and Cobb.
Starks did reasonably well.
Spriggs did pretty good for coming in cold. He's still got work to do, though.
Hell, I'm even going to give Barclay a '+'. At least he wasn't a turnstile today!

Lost to a 4-5 team, after losing to a 3-5 team the week before.
No pass rush. None.
No defense. None.
7-0 before folks have found their seats, 21-0 at the end of the 1st qtr, and 5 TDs by halftime is NOT good football. Yeah, being fairly decimated by injury is a big factor but it's no excuse for the constant communication issues, and players running around before the snap not knowing what the hell they are supposed to do. It's not all on the young guys either; Burnett and HHCD have developed some piss-poor habits like looking in the backfield instead of being aware of the play developing in front of them.
Veteran leadership on both sides of the ball is lacking. Players should lead with their play instead of their mouth. They may be trying, but they're sure not producing.

Oh, and ARod's continuing problem with tunnel vision.
