He's still making money for running that 4.28 40 as a senior in college. He should look like prime Sam Shields, but I've never watched him play in a game and thought he looked like the fastest guy on the field.

For those who did not think Josh Myers was a very good player in GB ... the NFL apparently agrees with you.
If the rest of the NFL does not think Myers is worth more than a 1-year, $3.5M deal (incredibly, even less than McDuffie & Stokes got), then I'd say his departure = addition by subtraction.
Got to think that an OL starting 5 WITH Banks and WITHOUT Myers will be an upgrade in 2025.
The FA's Gutekunst signed (CB, OL) were the price for drafting poorly in 2021 (Stokes, Myers). Gutey's seat needs to be a bit warmer. Cannot keep missing on high draft picks - those have the highest probability of being stars.
Between the current starters and recent draft picks, the Packers have enough IOL guys to create plenty of competition at C and both G positions.
I hate to kick Myers on his way out of the door, but the OL will be a better unit without him.

Gutey rolled the dice on Myers rather than Humphrey and came up empty.
He's not going to win a Super Bowl in Seattle, either.

Much like Garrett going back to Cleveland, if this guy truly wanted to win a SB he most likely could have taken a bit less and signed with a true contender.
I know it’s not my money (and I probably would have done the same thing, other than talking about a goal of winning it all) but have some self awareness. Not every thought needs to be broadcast to the world.
