Why call it a ploy? Stafford wasnβt being sneaky or dishonest. The Rams let him talk to other teams to find out his market value. The Raiders surely knew landing Stafford was a long shot but they decided to kick the tires anyway.
It sounded flimsy from the beginning. Why would they let him walk unless they had some young kid that was ready to step up.

Where did it was sneaky or dishones? It was a plan that worked. He didnβt want to leave, he wanted a better deal and used the threat of leaving to get it. Business 101.
Exactly. Now the funny shit is the talk of the Giants wanting Rodgers. What a shit show. Disaster for both of them if that's what happens. Just retire.
I want Rodgers to play as long as Blanda.

C'mon Giants.....sign him!! Let's do this!!!
How much you have on that over/under?
Giants could make sense for Rodgers. He wouldn't have to move.

Just refreshing the original topic post.

Sean McVay on Rams making Cooper Kupp available via trade: "We just felt like that was the best direction for our football team ... in terms of putting together the whole puzzle. There's obviously a lot of layers to that."

Gave up a third rounder for 11 games.
I love DA and believe he can still be very productive... but I'm just not sure he's a fit right now for where this team is at... eh, who knows
when I started going to GBP games in the late 80s the tickets were $22. same seat is now $196.
The Packers are obviously trying to price rabble like you out of Lambeau.
oh they succeeded a long time ago
I was spoiled, Lambeau was special, now it's just a shopping mall with $30 cocktails

Sports in general is doing its best to price us (we) rabble out of TV.
As Bob Dylan says, itβs not dark yet but itβs getting there.
