It happened all the time up through 1993. 

Seriously, the contract terms changed this season such that Fox will get a game or two with two AFC teams, and CBS will get some games with two NFC teams.  I don't know the criteria for selecting those games, although I think the Thanksgiving game on CBS will be two NFC teams.

CBS also had an all NFC matchup for their Thanksgiving game last year (edit: nope, it's this year). The Falcons-Lions game in London was also on CBS.

Yep, it was Fox.  I didn't realize the contracts changed. Thought my tv listing was wrong when I saw CBS have two NFC teams.
