Pretty sure Iguodala's 3 to ice the game was the first Warriors basket in the last 5:30 of the 4th...
desperate team won the game, raps lost the game, too many mistakes and open shots missed, i again was puzzled by fouls and stoppages by the refs, i still don't understand (or really care to) this game...when you see momentum pulled out from under you by bad calls, its not a good look for the game. both ways btw, on gsw and raps.
I think Toronto is really going to look back at game 2 as a missed opportunity much like the Bucks in game 3 against the Raptors.
You gave the Warriors life and now they get to return back home where itβs tough to beat them.
Seems like the Raptors go as Van Vleet goes. He wasnβt very good in game 2.

After Klay went out with injury, the Raptors played a box and one.
Steve Kerr deserves a lot of credit in this one. Andrew Bogut and Quinn Cook played major roles. The Warriors played the final stretch with Livingston, Green, Igoudala, Cousins, and Curry. Looney, Klay, and Durant all out.
The thing that the announcers don't point out is that the Warriors have two guys who can handle Kawhi one on one. Igoudala and Green are both the perfect combination of size and athleticism to cover him. Middleton makes him work, but he's not the athlete those two are. Giannis is too tall and doesn't have the lateral quickness to make it work consistently. The Bucks player who has the closest skill set defensively to hang with Kawhi didn't play because of concerns about floor spacing and experience (DJ Wilson).

I am kind of surprised how weak the ratings are for this series so far. From things I read it could be 18-25% less than a year ago. Perhaps it has to do with no LeBron in the finals and the fact that many blame it on Warriors fatigue.
As MichiganPacker said Kerr does deserve a lot of credit in this one. He has players out or hobbling and he rallies them and coaches them up to game plan what they need to do to take care of business.
Bucks v Warriors would have drawn much better ratings.
Toronto gets dinged because 1) itβs Canada eh and 2) Kahwi is a rental player
The NBA has nobody to blame but themselves.
Let Gasol hack Giannis 39 times a game with no call -- yeah brilliant for ratings.
Gasol found out who the strongest guy on the court is last night. His name is Boogie Cousins.
I called Warriors in 5 at the start. Let's see if they can sweep. Durant might play in Oakland

Budenholzer was outstanding all year in terms of building an offensive system that fit the strengths of his best player. That was obvious. The problem was that they ran into the one team in the playoffs (maybe the only team) that had the defensive players to stop it. Put perhaps the top on-ball defender in the NBA (Kawhi) on Giannis and force him into 2 guys that were former First team All-NBA defense (Gasol and Ibaka) and then gamble that leaving Bledsoe wide open wouldn't hurt them.
The problem was that Bud didn't make many adjustments. He kept running Giannis into the wall. It would be interesting to see how many different offensive schemes Kerr has run during this playoff series. He's run Durant isolations, Curry isolations, the 2016 version of the Warriors ball movement, and he's run sets specifically for Cousins on the post. The Bucks never really tried anything different. They could have posted Giannis up. They could have run more Middleton/Giannis pick and roll. Bud was basically Bo Ryan and Mike McCarthy - "we do what we do." Steve Kerr has been more like Belichick - design an offense or plays that maximize your ability to win against a specific opponent.

Boogie Cousins would be a very good fit to replace Lopez if and when he leaves. But now that Boogie has come back healthy enough to make this type of impact, he's looking at big money from someone.
Yeah, heβs a Laker. Not a doubt in my mind...
Isn't he kinda a nut job ? Multiple suspensions, etc...?

We should start a thread after the season predicting where all the free agents and trade candidates end up. Here's an early version.
Kevin Durant - Knicks
Kyrie Irving - Knicks
Kawhi Leonard - Clippers
DeMarcus Cousins - Clippers
Anthony Davis - Lakers
Middleton - Bucks
Brogdon- Bucks
Jimmy Butler - Mavs
Kemba Walker - Hornets
Klay Thompson - Warriors
T. Harris - Sixers
D. Russell - Nets
Chris Paul trade scenarios could really scramble things.

Heβs mellowed some, but yeah, big time hothead early in his career.
Toronto pouring it on... when Curry is on the bench, they fall apart. Theyβre barely hanging in when heβs out there...
That the Warriors are only down 8 is a friggin miracle... officials have been terrible this whole game.
That Curry create-a-foul drives me nuts. Change your path and launch into defender while NBA Licks it up.....dont need to watch that shit unless you're a warrior fan.
Toronto hitting 45% from deep... 14 made. Difference in the game, right there.
Steph Curry is just beyond words.
Effort is truly amazing.
Draymonte the mouth breather could have 5 or 6 technical fouls a game if the league enforced verbal abuse of referees. I dont watch much NBA outside of the Bucks, but man he looks to be frequently out of control.
It was a fine display of effort and admirable. But if they donβt get their stars back soon, the Warriors are finished. Hell, might be anyway, with the way the Raptors are playing defense.
That crew of officials should be reprimanded. Wasnβt favoring anyone, just got a ton of calls wrong tonight. Missed 2 goaltends, a bunch of fouls on phantom contact, inconsistencies in allowing contact, they were all over the damned place.
good game, good game.
Golden State is a very ordinary team when they donβt have Klay and KD in that lineup.
Toronto is certainly a worthy opponent but every game I watch in this series I canβt help but think the Bucks would have had a real chance to steal a title had they advanced. I hope that motivates them to step it up next year.
Yip.....er ..... I mean Yup.
Saying GS is an ordinary lineup without their two All NBA starters is pretty groundbreaking stuff.
Iβm a GS fan. Have been since 1972. As much as I loved Attles, Barry, Wilkes, Phil Smith. 1975 was a shitty year to win a title. The NBA sucked in 1975.
After watching the Lakers kick GS ass in the the town for years in person at the arena I canβt possibly explain the importance of Sleepy Floydβs 29 4th quarter points against the Lakers in 1987 in the playoffs. That singular game led to Mullin, Richmond, Hardaway, Nelson, Webber and a complete revitalization of the organization.
Now. Local GS fans are crying βasteriskβ if Toronto wins the title. Thatβs homer BS in its purest form. Toronto didnβt go through a regular season and playoffs with a concern they needed to provide an excuse why GS isnβt healthy. **** all of that. Toronto has to beat whoever is put in front of them. The other roster is not their concern. Like any team thatβs ever tried to win a title in the history of sports.
So ordinary is a relative term. Or is it?
If by ordinary you mean a 45-48 win team that is what Golden State is with Curry and no Klay and no KD and that current bench. A middle of the road playoff team. Probably a first or at best second round squad.
As for Toronto, that is a decent team. They won 58 games this year. Beat a pesky Sixers team and dispatched the Bucks in six. Golden State currently is not as good as them. That is painful because had the Bucks advanced they would likely be up in this series as well with home court.
KD and Klay are actually on the team and injured man. What kind of hypothetical bullshit are you running? No replacing those contracts if they arenβt on the Warriors???? For **** sakes man Leonard might take KDs place on GS in two months.
Bucks lost to Toronto. Get over it. Toronto might beat GS. They are a good team.
**** the Warriors. Theyβre as culpable in this NBAAU abomination as the Lakers or anyone else. I sure as **** donβt feel sorry for em with their bad luck. I hope Toronto puts them down in 5. 17-1 odds at the start of the series for that...
Who asked you to feel sorry for GS?
I like GS and Toronto and Milwaukee, is that OK. By the way I am currently in Greece ( Crete) and when I tell the locals I am originally from Milwaukee they nearly bow and genuflect before me. The Freak is a god here.
The point is I donβt care how good Curry is. Heβs not MJ. He canβt carry that team alone. The others have to step up as well. The problem is their roster is pretty top heavy and now they are paying the price.
For as good as Leonard has been they arenβt in this position without their bench stepping up and guys like Gasol playing well.
I expect GS to resign Klay Thompson but KD is likely gone because well, thatβs such a KD thing to do. Kahwi is headed to the Clippers.
As for GS fans crying "asterisk" if Toronto wins. I'm guessing those same fans admit to an asterisk when GS won in 2015. LeBron's team lost Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love to injury and had Tristan Thompson, Timothy Mozgov, Jr Smith, and Matthew Delavadova as starters for ****s sake. Yikes that ugly.
Let's face it GS has built/was allowed to build a super team. Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant , and Looney are out, but they still have Steph Curry, Iggywaladala, Draymond, Boogie Cousins, Andrew Bogut, etc...beautiful roster.
Injuries are part of any season, the other stuff is just excuse making.

The island of Crete is a great place to be. Visited there many times while I was stationed at Hellenikon AFB Greece.
It's almost time to stick a fork in the Warriors.
Where is Draymond Green? Yes he has 10 boards but Ibaka having a huge game.

Uh, you just described MJ while saying that guy that fits that description is not MJ. How many titles did MJ win without Pippen, Grant, etc?
Well, if Kevin Durant ever had a GOAT moment, heβll have his shot. Warriors are down 3-1.
Toronto is now 7-1 in the last 8 playoff games against Milwaukee and Golden State this year. Let that sink in for a second. Thatβs pretty damn impressive.
Toronto is no joke. Thatβs a great team with a really good coach. Not sure Durant makes a difference. Toronto just traveled to Oakland and beat GS by double digits in back to back games. Very impressive.
