...and I hear Steph Curry didn't even attempt a FG in the 4th quarter (didn't watch the game) check out the weak ass ratings.

After Klay went out with injury, the Raptors played a box and one.

Steve Kerr deserves a lot of credit in this one. Andrew Bogut and Quinn Cook played major roles. The Warriors played the final stretch with Livingston, Green, Igoudala, Cousins, and Curry. Looney, Klay, and Durant all out.

The thing that the announcers don't point out is that the Warriors have two guys who can handle Kawhi one on one. Igoudala and Green are both the perfect combination of size and athleticism to cover him. Middleton makes him work, but he's not the athlete those two are. Giannis is too tall and doesn't have the lateral quickness to make it work consistently. The Bucks player who has the closest skill set defensively to hang with Kawhi didn't play because of concerns about floor spacing and experience (DJ Wilson).

I am kind of surprised how weak the ratings are for this series so far.  From things I read it could be 18-25% less than a year ago.  Perhaps it has to do with no LeBron in the finals and the fact that many blame it on Warriors fatigue.

As MichiganPacker said Kerr does deserve a lot of credit in this one.  He has players out or hobbling and he rallies them and coaches them up to game plan what they need to do to take care of business.

Budenholzer was outstanding all year in terms of building an offensive system that fit the strengths of his best player. That was obvious. The problem was that they ran into the one team in the playoffs (maybe the only team) that had the defensive players to stop it. Put perhaps the top on-ball defender in the NBA (Kawhi) on Giannis and force him into 2 guys that were former First team All-NBA defense (Gasol and Ibaka) and then gamble that leaving Bledsoe wide open wouldn't hurt them.

The problem was that Bud didn't make many adjustments. He kept running Giannis into the wall. It would be interesting to see how many different offensive schemes Kerr has run during this playoff series. He's run Durant isolations, Curry isolations, the 2016 version of the Warriors ball movement, and he's run sets specifically for Cousins on the post. The Bucks never really tried anything different. They could have posted Giannis up. They could have run more Middleton/Giannis pick and roll. Bud was basically Bo Ryan and Mike McCarthy - "we do what we do." Steve Kerr has been more like Belichick - design an offense or plays that maximize your ability to win against a specific opponent.

The NBA has nobody to blame but themselves.

Let Gasol hack  Giannis 39 times a game with no call -- yeah brilliant for ratings.

Gasol found out who the strongest guy on the court is last night. His name is Boogie Cousins.

I called Warriors in 5 at the start. Let's see if they can sweep. Durant might play in Oakland

Boogie Cousins would be a very good fit to replace Lopez if and when he leaves. But now that Boogie has come back healthy enough to make this type of impact, he's looking at big money from someone.

Yeah, he’s a Laker. Not a doubt in my mind...

We should start a thread after the season predicting where all the free agents and trade candidates end up. Here's an early version.

Kevin Durant - Knicks

Kyrie Irving - Knicks

Kawhi Leonard - Clippers

DeMarcus Cousins - Clippers

Anthony Davis - Lakers

Middleton - Bucks

Brogdon- Bucks

Jimmy Butler - Mavs

Kemba Walker - Hornets

Klay Thompson - Warriors

T. Harris - Sixers

D. Russell - Nets

Chris Paul trade scenarios could really scramble things.

It was a fine display of effort and admirable. But if they don’t get their stars back soon, the Warriors are finished. Hell, might be anyway, with the way the Raptors are playing defense.

That crew of officials should be reprimanded. Wasn’t favoring anyone, just got a ton of calls wrong tonight. Missed 2 goaltends, a bunch of fouls on phantom contact, inconsistencies in allowing contact, they were all over the damned place.

Saying GS is an ordinary lineup without their two All NBA starters is pretty groundbreaking stuff.

I’m a GS fan. Have been since 1972. As much as I loved Attles, Barry, Wilkes, Phil Smith. 1975 was a shitty year to win a title. The NBA sucked in 1975.

After watching the Lakers kick GS ass in the the town for years in person at the arena I can’t possibly explain the importance of Sleepy Floyd’s 29 4th quarter points against the Lakers in 1987 in the playoffs. That singular game led to Mullin, Richmond, Hardaway, Nelson, Webber and a complete revitalization of the organization.

Now. Local GS fans are crying β€œasterisk” if Toronto wins the title. That’s homer BS in its purest form. Toronto didn’t go through a regular season and playoffs with a concern they needed to provide an excuse why GS isn’t healthy. **** all of that. Toronto has to beat whoever is put in front of them. The other roster is not their concern. Like any team that’s ever tried to win a title in the history of sports.

So ordinary is a relative term.  Or is it?

If by ordinary you mean a 45-48 win team that  is what Golden State is with Curry and no Klay and no KD and that current bench.  A middle of the road playoff team.  Probably a first or at best second round squad.

As for Toronto, that is a decent team. They won 58 games this year. Beat a pesky Sixers team and dispatched the Bucks in six.  Golden State currently is not as good as them.   That is painful because had the Bucks advanced they would likely be up in this series as well with home court.

KD and Klay are actually on the team and injured man. What kind of hypothetical bullshit are you running? No replacing those contracts if they aren’t on the Warriors???? For ****  sakes man Leonard might take KDs place on GS in two months.

Bucks lost to Toronto. Get over it. Toronto might beat GS. They are a good team.

The point is I don’t care how good Curry is. He’s not MJ.  He can’t carry that team alone.   The others have to step up as well. The problem is their roster is pretty top heavy and now they are paying the price.

For as good as Leonard has been they aren’t in this position without their bench stepping up and guys like Gasol playing well.

I expect GS to resign Klay Thompson but KD is likely gone because well, that’s such a KD thing to do.  Kahwi is headed to the Clippers.

As for GS fans crying "asterisk" if Toronto wins. I'm guessing those same fans admit to an asterisk when GS won in 2015. LeBron's team lost Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love to injury and had Tristan Thompson, Timothy Mozgov, Jr Smith, and Matthew Delavadova as starters for ****s sake. Yikes that ugly.

Let's face it GS has built/was allowed to build a super team. Klay Thompson, Kevin Durant , and Looney are out, but they still have Steph Curry, Iggywaladala, Draymond, Boogie Cousins, Andrew Bogut, etc...beautiful roster.

Injuries are part of any season, the other stuff is just excuse making.

I like GS and Toronto and Milwaukee, is that OK.  By the way I am currently in Greece ( Crete) and when I tell the locals I am originally from Milwaukee they nearly bow and genuflect before me.  The Freak is a god here.

The island of Crete is a great place to be. Visited there many times while I was stationed at Hellenikon AFB Greece.
