Some think Fuller is the best DB in the draft & can play safety as well as slot or outside.:

Teams are still sorting out what happened in 2013. He was arrested for DUI, a charge he pleaded guilty to. He served one day in jail and was suspended for the Huskies' first game. When he came back, he was a different player. He looked heavier and slower, and he was. He said he was more than 280 pounds because the Huskies wanted him to block more. That might have been a reason his numbers took a huge dip, from 69 catches and 852 yards as a sophomore to 36 catches and 450 yards as a junior. He did have eight touchdowns last season, however, one more than the year before. But he's clear that his play dipped in 2013.

"I didn’t play as well," Seferian-Jenkins said in a Q&A with Shutdown Corner. "It’s a simple as that. You can look at the stats, and it’s clear I didn’t have as good of a year. I’m excited to get back and play this upcoming year and get my stats up."

Just to show that the bad vibes didn't quite end when 2013 did, he also had surgery for a stress fracture found in his foot during an MRI at the combine.

Fuller is a guy that is rising up the draft charts.  Good size and speed, tough kid, decent instincts, and fluid in his movements.  Sort of reminds me of a faster version of Micah Hyde.  He plays bigger and stronger than what he actually is and has a nose for the ball.

This is a pretty decent draft for corners in terms of quality and quantity in the first two rounds.  Fuller might be there when GB picks and given Thompson's ability to find good DBs it would not be a shock to me if Fuller is their top pick.

i know we all want a safety like Dix or Pryor or even Ward but Fuller at 21 might be a better value pick than those other three guys.

Funny you should bring up Fuller. He is a guy who I had not given much thought to until this week. Guys on NFL Network keep saying that he is the most versatile DB in the draft and can play outside, the slot, & safety....sounds like a guy our staff would like given their emphasis on guys being versatile.

I like the safeties but I think Pryor and Dix will be taken in the top 15 and I think 21 is too early for Ward.  I would not trade up for any of them in the first round

That's why Fuller is intriguing if he's there at 21

McGinn has found a super secret executive from an NFL team that does not think the Packers need a ILB.  He thinks they will not take one in the first but perhaps one later in the draft. Just for kicks what  if this guy is right.

"They got a guy (JC Tretter) they drafted last year in the fourth round. They don't have a need. At some point he has to (play). He's a fourth-round pick! What the hell did they pick him for? He must be hell on wheels to pick a center that high. C'mon. With that offense, the machine they got there, you just plug in centers. I think they'll pick a guy but it's not a need. I'm expecting big play out of this guy."

There is no ****ing way a front office personnel exec ever utters a mouthful of bull**** like this. It doesn't make one damn bit of sense. "Im expecting big play out of him. What the hell did they draft him for?  They don't have a need. At some point he has to play.".... Seriously, WTF is that???

If Bob is really using an NFL insider for his articles his name rhymes with Schmilldress.

....makes perfect sense to me. They used a 4th on Tretter, which means they thought he projected as a better center than EDS, they would not use a draft choice on a center unless they had something like a 1st round grade on one & he dropped to the third round, the guy expects Tretter to be good based on where they drafted him, they don't need a great center in our system.

Actually, it poses a good point.  The Packers already have a mid-round center with no experience so why would the Packers draft another (likely) mid-round center with no experience.  At that point, they'd have 2 centers with no experience so you still don't know if you have an NFL caliber center.  If Tretter fails and the Packers have a hole at center in 2014, it's not because they didn't draft one in 2014; it's because they did not bring in a veteran as a contingency in case Tretter failed.

Of course, if a top rated center falls from round 2-3 to round 4-6, obviously it makes sense to draft them.
