You're pleased with their children?

At what point might Chuck being out there be considered a potential "liability"?
I read an article the other day in which Woodson was called the Packers best slot cover CB... I immediately thought no, he's not. Hugely valuable and nowhere near a liability, but he can't cover anymore like he could even just last season.

- poor pass rush. Often only 3 D men
Disagree - had 5 sacks without Clay, and the interior d-line really pushed the pocket back on a lot of plays. I actually thought Pickett, Raji and Co. played well.

Jones also came up with some good stops.
No doubt he'd be willing to take a cut if Ted and Mike can sit him down and present the case correctly. He'd be held in less esteem on any other team (since he'd be the new guy learning a new system) and odds are his only way of maintaining or increasing his amount of snaps would be to go to a lesser team. His best interests as a player are in Green Bay. If he wants to win more championships, he stays; if he wants to make $500,000-1,000,000 more (and even that may be stretching it) while playing for a loser, he'll go elsewhere.quote:Originally posted by Pakrz:quote:Originally posted by Hungry5:quote:Originally posted by PackLandVA:

Might be Chucks last season in GB...especially when you consider his salary next year.
No one else will even give him half of that to come in as an old vet learning a new system in a new locker room. I think both sides will be fine with cutting that in half to keep his veteran leadership in the locker room of a winning team that he's been a part of for what will by 2013 be exactly half of his career.quote:Originally posted by heyward:
Woodson's under contract for next season at $9M ($6.5M base, $2.5M bonus). Can't imagine the Packers paying that. I think he'll have to take a major pay cut to return, if the Packers even want him back for another season.

quote:- All the LB's were great today. Hawk was huge against the run today and the oitside guys got good preasure.. Moses is making Walden replaceable in 2013 for half the cost.. Perry, Clay and Moses for depth next year.
Brad Jones is not an OLB anymore, Clay Matthews returning has no bearing on the fact that Jones is now starting as an ILB next to Hawk. He actually played well today in that capacity. He certainly has been an upgrade over DJ Smith.quote:Originally posted by RoyalWulff:
Brad Jones is just a guy. Hope we get the ClayMaker back soon.

They had five sacks today and hurried Stafford into some incompletions. Thought it was a decent performance.

Secondary is better without Woodson. Make him the dime back.
Walden was solid today. Again. Yeah, please just pay him.

When i was watching it didn't look like they were getting much pressure. But 5 sacks says a lot. Especially against an offensive line that's been pretty solid and without matthews.

Where's the weeping, hand-wringing, and gnashing of teeth? 3rd and 1 and MM goes deep? When does the crucifixion begin?
