Excellent:

Lacy: Good to see he heard the 2015 season has begun. Hopefully, this is the Eddie we get the rest of the year.

James Jones: Other than 1 drop, he saved the day.

Tretter: Don't know if he was good, but coming in as a backup he was not worse than Linsley.

Datone Jones: Is he finally proving worthy of his 1st round selection?

Raji: 45 yards for AP.

Daniels: 45 yards for AP & pressures on QB. He is making himself some $.

Clay: 45 yards for AP.

Dom: 45 yards for AP and unleashed the dogs (against a bad OLine).

Crosby: 5 for 5, what really happened last week against the Lions?

Janis: A big KO return and a 50 yard PI penalty. Why is he stuck on the bench again?

Not Excellent:

Hyde: He can't run and has been getting shredded week after week. He is a backup safety/punt returner but has no business covering WRs.

Perry & Neal: Two high picks playing against a terrible OLine that was giving up pressure all game long and they combine for 1 tackle.

Bak: Leading the league in penalties, getting overpowered every week, he is subpar.

Bulaga: The injuries have taken their toll. He is not average right now, he is bad.

Cobb: Just an awful game for a high-paid player who has had a poor year.

Adams: Did he get hurt? Again? Because he was mostly invisible.

R Rodgers: Is he in his 2nd or 12th year. Slow, slow, slow, catch & fall down. 3 catches for 7 yards. Wow.

Third down offense was abysmal.  Good grief. The series where they couldn't convert after a 2nd and 1 was brutal.

Did the offense look clearly better with Tretter in there?  It seemed like AR had more time to throw and Lacy had more room to run.  Wasn't able to watch other OL.

Lacy waking up.  Needs to keep it going.

Still too many drops by WR's and misses by AR.

D was beauteous.

+Winning by 3 scores on the road with plenty of room for improvement

+Rodgers beating a winning team on the road. That talking point can quiet down until the AZ game

+Team controls its own destiny not just in the North, but for the 2 seed

-Was Richard Rodgers scouted off the Cal Ultimate Frisbee team? He might need to be told that the play can extend beyond the point of catch. Never thought I'd be this excited about the return of Quarless.

Was this the negatives section of your post?  I'm guessing you kidnapped Dan Devine's dog and the dog shot himself.

Re: Perry & Neal. Stat sheet doesn't say everything. Perry had a couple holding calls on his opponent. He was doing his job.

Re: Cobb. Little harsh calling him "awful". While I agree he had a couple bad drops, he did catch a TD pass, yes? Cobb has some work to do. I think he's pressing to fill that #1 role. He just needs to play his role & relax a little bit.

I'm sure there's more but, I gotta watch the tape.

On the initial viewing it looked like the runs to the right were not there. On the re-watch...

They had success running left or right. To the left they had long runs of 9, 9, & 8. To the right they had the long of 27, but their negative runs (-3, -2, -2, -1, 0) were also on the right. The -3 and -2 were with Walker in as the extra OL.

It's always nice to shut the mouthy Queens' fans up! I wonder how many AP jerseys will be littering parking lots in Minnesota after this game?Originally Posted by Herschel:

+ Tretter held up well.

+ The mouthy Queens fans will be awfully quiet tomorrow.

- The tackles are still struggling.

-Cobb keeps dropping balls.

- The offense is still trying to get back in synch.

It was a great win for the Packers! It was especially nice seeing Janis contribute with a nice kick return and by getting the PI call to go our way. James Jones as a WR is a good thing! Three huge catches for him. Our Defense won't have everyone calling for Capers to be fired, for a while. 6 sacks of Teddy and holding AP to 45 yards rushing is outstanding. Mason Crosby! Aaron and his receivers are still not on the same page, yet. Eddie Lacy looked like a runaway train again! Now let's show Da Bears how to play football. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

Part of it is that AR is just not as accurate as we are used to.

Uncatchable balls deep out of the EZ that could have drawn PI if the ball had been ANYWHERE near catchable. And the first Cobb "drop" where RC is standing wide open for several seconds and then AR throws the ball about 5 yards to RC's right and he has to lunge for it and drops it.

The throw where Janis got the PI was a terribly inaccurate throw.

Agree on Neal and Perry.  You put that kind of pressure on a QB, it's a group effort.  Everyone can't get the sacks, you need guys to play the run, push the pocket and maintain gap control.  If everyone fired off the snap upfield on every play, AP and Teddy would have rushed for 200 yards.

And while true on Cobb, expectations go up when you're a $10m WR.  It's just the reality.  Agree he's pressing too hard to be the #1 guy but that third down drop in the 4th quarter was inexcusable.  Those plays win or lose games - just look at the Jennings catch in the Super Bowl.

Hyde is a bit of a head-scratcher. A guy with marginal speed who has a hip (speed) injury in pass coverage that opponents have been exploiting for a few weeks remains in the lineup why? Savvy can only get you so far when you need a certain physical competence to compete.

Tretter is notiecably leaner than the rest of the O-lineman, continuity is huge and with the tackles hurting maybe that played in to it there.  I'm wondering if Tretter had been getting some work at LT in practice to avoid putting Barclay out there, especially since he may need to spell Bulaga.

That throw to Janis was a 55+ yard plus throw while running and under pressure.

The throw to Cobb in the end zone was a throw away and was probably thrown that way so there was no chance of an interception. You can't throw a ball up for grabs in the back of the end zone to Cobb. He's not that kind of player. He's a slot receiver, not Dez Bryant or Nelson/Jones.

Cobb's drop on the 3rd down play that would have gotten them out of big hole was where Cobb ran to a spot and then stopped after Rodgers was already in motion to throw the ball. Cobb still should have caught it since it hit him in both hands, but if he keeps moving he catches it in stride and runs for another 20 yards.

The bigger concern is that almost every significant play in the passing game was off of Rodgers extending the play. The PI that Janis drew, Jones juggling catch down the left sideline, Jones TD catch, the 2 point conversion - they were all where Rodgers broke out of the pocket and played sandlot football. The only exception was the Cobb TD where Zimmer commented after the game that it was an "unexpected" route combination. That's probably the best sign for future games as it suggests they were a little less stale in scheme.

Good point Herschel. If you are playing Hyde for "savviness" then they should have never let Charles Woodson go. No one is more savvy than him and they let him go because they felt he couldn't hold up physically any more.

Looking like a reach at this point for TT.

Can't get 'em all right.

Did anyone think they would be looking forward to that POS Quarles coming back?  I thought Rodgers had speed problems because he kept playing heavy in college.  I even rebuffed the Bubba comparisons but damn.  I'd take a speed compliment at TE to at least balance it out.

Just like the throw that hit him right in the hands too.

Re, Perillo: I just don't understand why MM/TC/Dom play who they play sometimes. Elliot has a great game earlier this year and then hardly sees the field except in spot duty, where he seems to make things happen anyway. Perillo does good things, AR stumps for him, and then he sits. Janis opens up the field when he's out there, but he's used so seldomly. How can you tell if a guy can impact a game when there's no consistency to his playing time?

Poor year?. Awful game? Little over emotional? What's crazy is you had time between the end of the game yesterday and that statement.

Playing a full season without Jordy and several games without DaVante and Montgomery. Cobb has been very "coverable" the last 6 weeks with the revolving roster at WR.

Even with this taking place and Cobb pressing he's going to end 2015 with 1,000 yards and 10 -12 TD's.

I'll take several more poor years like this from Cobb.

Agree on the first point and the Janis throw.  I thought on the play to Cobb (not the one that hit him in the hands standing still that he dropped) was a throwing lane issue, but I am not certain anymore.  There was a pass I rewound a couple times and the throw had to be to the side to have an open lane.

Not positive, could be talking out of my ass
