a loser?  the guy has 7 rings. sheesh

in the legacy dept yes, i think about guys like manning - he strung it out almost too long and lost, but he cut the cord when he finally won, same with ray lewis, and ed reed...it just turns into time to go...you want to go out on top - or as close as you can get...think about how baller it would have been if he won #7 and called it, mic drop...that's what he's remembered for...

Word is Fox Sports wants to involve him in Super Bowl festivities as a trial run for next season and this was to get the distraction out of the way...or at least lessen it.

Guarantee 12 knows the Packers want to move on from him, he's flexing the last bit of control he has and saying "he's still deciding." And he may well be...he may have come to terms with he's no longer going to be a Packer, and just wants to decide if he's got it in him to jump to another team and "start over."

But you know Gurt has already talked to the Raiders, Jets and any number of teams who are interested. The only thing slowing this right now is March 15, the first day trades can be executed. When this happens, it will happen quickly.

Where this gets weird is where the Raiders decide to trade Carr...could be a scenario where it's a 3 way deal...Carr goes to Jets for pick 13, Rodgers goes to Vegas for Picks 7 and 13...could you imagine Packers having 3 first round picks in the top 15? DFH...

Probably the most decorated player in NFL history, and it's tough not to respect what he did to help his teams always field a roster and be relevant for the Super Bowl.

7 Super Bowls, 5 Super Bowl MVPs, and 3 league MVPs.... among many, many others.

Father time always wins, and now it's one less team in the playoffs to worry about when Rodgers decides to stay put.

That is also on my Vision Board.

I would have literally retired on the spot the first day that some knucklehead boss broke that shit out. Here was my annual sales vision board:

”You sold $2 million last year. Your quota this year is $2.4 million. Good luck, and it goes without saying you might be fired if you don’t achieve it. Don’t forget, weekly reports are due by 5:00 P.M. Fridays.”

Visualize that.

You paint with words.

I don't think he'll pull a Favre. I think he's done. Which only increases Rodgers trade stock, particularly to a team based in San Franscisco.

"Gute won't trade Rodgers to an NFC team".

Sweeten the pot enough, and Rodgers becomes tradeable to any team.

Trading Rodgers to an NFC team will have little to no effect on the Packers. What's he going to do? Play a couple more years? The Packers need to start a significant rebuild so I don't expect them to make much noise for several years anyway.

$2 million is a lot of encyclopedias.  You must be a helluva salesman.

Thats what I was saying back when Favre wanted out. Trade him to the Vikings, get their draft choices,he retires in a couple of years. We strengthen our team with the draft capital and have a mini rebuild. Just seeing him in a Bear uniform after the "I own you" debacle would be a sight to watch.
