The NFL is debating on having the season start without fans... they have reached out to the Vikings franchise for advice.

Wilf and company would make those empty seats be empty for another game, as well. Just like they used to do to Packers fans, in the Metrodome, when they couldn't sell out their seats. They forced Packer fans to buy tickets to the next week's game if they wanted to see the Packers play the vikings, in the dome. Pathetic!

His book "Closing the Gap" is worth reading, especially for old-time fans like me.  I bought a used copy on Amazon.  It was signed "To Michael - All the best - a real Packer fan - Willie Davis - HOF81"

No idea when or where it was signed, nor do I know who Michael is.  Weird that he didn't keep it.  I recommend the book highly."

The Vikings also write a book called "Closing the Gap".  Only they have been writing a chapter for each of the last 59 seasons.  They never quite find an appropriate ending.  Perhaps closing their doors is their only recourse.

At least Jaymo would become non-relevant.

When was he relevant?

Was driving around running errands today. KFAN was replaying the 2010 Divisional Playoff game between MN and Dallas. I have to say it was enjoyable listening to how cocky Paul Allen, Pete Bercich and Greg Coleman were while calling that game, knowing now what was waiting for them the following week.

I've heard the vikings already won the division. When did the season start? I missed it! Another perennial, off season viking prediction doomed to failure.  I love it!

I found out that the world has discovered "virtual weddings" and a good birth control method at the same time.  I am sure this hasn't escaped the notice of the Vikings who are now claiming "virtual championships" and STILL have an empty trophy case.  Just saying ............

Kind of hard to have a "smoke show" when they don't use charcoal.  I think I am stating the obvious (to us) that you can't win if don't play with fire.

Oh, He'll have a smoke show if he lights charcoal in that grill!

And I think all football fans can agree it’s not wins, championships or trophies that matter.  It’s draft grades.  That’s really what the excitement is all about.

Oh, and pre-season records.

If we have a season, this year, the Packers will be going for 4 in a row over the vikings. I want another sweep of our NFC North foes--and that means all of them, especially the vikings.

C7EE8C7F-E86F-42DF-A9F4-569AA756FE7CThe sports writers over here have a forgone conclusion that Rodgers will be a Viking in 2 seasons.  Packers drafted his replacement and he’s too much of a diva to accept that.  So, he’ll take his first opportunity to don purple and stick it to them.  Favre 2.0.

This is just one of many articles on this topic.

If that happens - and it is NOT a foregone conclusion - wait until AR wants HIS players and HIS offense.  The only stat on HIS mind will be how few ints he throws.  So when he sees an unattended green part of the field - he will aim for it.  Hopefully he has enough arm strength to get it there.  We will call it "The AR Way".

The schedule makers have decided to stack the deck in Minnesota's favor - they have given them only 2 prime time games since they have trouble winning them.  But the rest of the NFL gets it's revenge when all those playoff games become prime time games - and the legacy of failure continues.

Are the minnesota sportswriters finally admitting Cousins is a bust? They must want to win a Monday Night game, for a change!
