Other guys that won't sniff CoY are Mike Tomlin and John Harbaugh....both their teams could have 1 loss and they still wouldn't be in the conversation. Dumb award.
Every CoY eventually gets fired. Some sooner than others.

Blasphemy!
Coach of the Year is mostly a "We thought this team would suck but they had a good record" award, with a potential plus modifier for if you're a first year head coach.
As for the "who did the Vikings beat?" stuff... I mean there's strength of schedule and strength of victory stats that are tracked as they are potential playoff tiebreakers... and congrats everyone who posted their calculations, you managed to be rong!

Quick, without looking it upโฆwho was COY in 2022?
I should say @MichiganPacker2 is essentially right, just not the exact calculation that the NFL uses, presuming he just didn't count the losses to the Packers in his calculation, which I actually think is the better way to do it. Ultimately doesn't matter for a tiebreaker as it will still be apples to apples.

Lombardi didn't get fired.
I'm starting to believe in O'Connell as a coach based on the success he's had with Darnold and the success he created with Cousins. I know Cousins suffered a difficult injury late in his career, but dude was a totally different QB this year. I don't have enough football acumen to know if his success was directly related to O'Connell or not. The Darnold success remains to be seen. I'm just hoping it doesn't continue๐ค

vikings fans don't know football. I could care less what they think of the Packers.

Except for:
Vince
Halas
Shula
Landry *
Bud Grant
Bill Walsh
Joe Gibbs
and Bill Cowher. Not to mention a few coaches who weren't fired, per se, but mutually agreed to part ways.

All old timers from way back when. Recent times not so much.
