The Vikings took the practice field Wednesday without three key players.

Left tackle Matt Kalil (hip) was seen walking through the parking lot with a team staffer right at the start of practice. He, cornerback Xavier Rhodes (knee) and defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd (knee)did not practice.Tight end MyCole Pruitt (knee) also was not practicing.

T.J. Clemmings took Kalil’s post on the left side of the line, while Trae Waynes and Shamar Stephen filled in for Rhodes and Floyd.

Rhodes suffered his injury prior to Sunday’s win in Tennessee, hearing “a pop” in his right knee while stretching that morning. Head coach Mike Zimmer declined to elaborate when asked about Rhodes, only saying Monday that he did not require surgery. He had been limited last week with a hamstring injury, but said that was not going to hold him out of the regular season opener.

Floyd played 23 snaps against the Titans after a knee injury also limited him throughout the preseason.

Limited for the Vikings were running back Jerick McKinnon (foot/lower leg) and center Nick Easton (ankle).

Three Vikings were added to the injury report this week, but were full participants in running back Adrian Peterson (ankle), tight end Kyle Rudolph (knee) and linebacker Eric Kendricks (ankle).

Receiver Charles Johnson (quad) and tight end Rhett Ellison (knee) were also full participants.
