Anyone else feel like our 21-point lead was safe with about 12 minutes to go? I sure didn't, and neither did the Packer radio guys. Our defensive MVP was Cutler. Capers better find a way to stop the Queens rookie, who looked pretty darn good today...

+ AR, Cobb, Oline, Jordy, secondary (mostly)

- Defense, defense, defense. If the Bares didn't shoot themselves in the foot, we'd be 1-3 tonight. Thank you Jay for your throws and Trestman for stopping the running game!

Rodgers...was right R-E-L-A-X.

Cobb, Nelson, Adams

O-Line

Matthews INT

TE Rogers

Playcalling mostly good this time

Nice to get second chance to score a TD because of D holding flag on #57

Bear offensive strategy in 4th quarter was mind-numbing

Bush makes save recovery for the onside kick

-

Poor officiating...several bad calls against the Packers

Bad play series at the endzone; But refs gave them a second chance

Defense still questionable and bad vs run

House had two bad plays

Low FG attempt:  Should have been 45-17 or 41-17

And yes, I was nervous from start until 6 minutes left in the game.

Always great to beat the bears, especially in their place.  It was particularly enjoyable to watch bears' fans squirm after they thought the game was won after the first drive.  It's also pretty clear that, after four games, if we are going to make a run this season, it is going to have to be driven by the passing game.

The offense put together a solid, but one-sided game.  7 drives, 6 scores, 5 TDs.  That's with 47 plays and under 24 minutes TOP.  Ball protection makes a difference - zero turnovers.  The running game remains weak (MM really needs to get rid of the stretch plays).  Passing accounted for 84% of total yards.

Defense took a step backwards today.  While the unit created turnovers, they were not able to get off the field, allowing the bears to convert on 7 of 11 3rd downs, and 2 of 3 4th downs.  Very disappointing after the D put together 6 solid quarters, and it also shows that the same problems remain - no need to repeat them here.

Officiating was beyond terrible, for both teams.  This crew should have to forfeit its paycheck for the week.  I would hope this is not the product quality that the NFL would like to put on display.

I had a quick thought about this today.
The only difference between last year and this one is EDS and Barclay. I can't imagine EDS making that big of a difference; surely the same has to be said for Barclay?

Positives:

Stomping the Bears in their place.  I sure wish I could listen to FIB sports radio today!

Rodgers having a Rodgers day

I had to watch the game at a bar yesterday and there was a ton of Bears fans there and I loved seeing the looks on their faces and calling for their checks early in the 4th quarter

Turnovers. Man how nice it was nice to see some turnovers

Negatives:

The D giving up so many yards

Without reading through the whole thread, here are mine with I assume several dupes:

+

Secondary: Reminding me of the aggressive CWood group back in the day. Jumping routes, aggressive, stripping, etc.

Crosby: The guy haas been nothing but money since he was almost night-night.

Announcers: Loved that they pulled no punches regarding the officiating.

-

Where has John Starks been? I like the change of pace with him. Not sure why he isn't seeing the field a bit.

Defensive Line: Turrible.

Clay INT: Would have liked to have seen him put his shoulder into the Bear instead of running out of bounds but hey, he might have gotten hurt.

For me personally this was the sweetest of victories.  I watched the game with my eight-year old son Paul from his hospital bed just a few miles from Soldier Field.  He suffered a seisure/stroke Tuesday, and on that day he had very little movement in his left leg.  He is now able to walk, which makes his doctors very pleased.  He is a huge Packer fan, favorites are Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson. We are now looking at a full recovery.  He is currently on the injured reserve list for his soccer team, but we look forward to him playing in the spring.

Defense at times

Some of medical staff (nurses and doctors)  are great people and professionals - but still Bear fans.

The NFL a has to get a handle on the referees and penalty calling in these games, all games.  There is absolutely no consistency, calls are missed and bad calls are creating no continuity.

not sure what can be done but this is getting hard to watch.

I jest but...  not watch?  spoke to a nearby farmer late afternoon yesterday and the officiating made him quit watching and go outside and enjoy the beautiful day.  he chose wisely.

edit:  all the best to you and your son ChitownMadtowner.

Amazing throw and play Rodgers made and it gets wiped out due to a BS call on a pancake block Lindsay made.

I have stepped away from several games the last few years and let the DVR handle it.

It is sad that I seem to cheer harder for a 3 and out than a TD.   I kind of expect the TD's the three and outs not so much.

Chitown all the best to your boy and family.

I have not been able to watch games.  Suspended my TV service after getting laid off.

Then I tried to stream and I had some adware issues.

Anyway, I would LOVE to see this play!  I googled and it showed a link to a youtube, but it said the video was unavailable due to copy infringement.

If anyone has a link to a video of this play, please share!

Wrong on this.  Linsley's first called penalty was a phantom call. Perfect pancake block, no hold at all. Ref just thought he saw something so he threw the flag, like many of the penalties today.

Should have been a separate line, sorry. I didn't think either of them were good calls. The officiating was goofy, but two on Linsley particularly stood out to me as bad. I was actually surprised they didn't overturn the call and give the Bears the TD just before halftime with the way the game was going.

Really surprised that the middle of our D is so soft. I know Pickett's gone but there was no attempt to keep him. Although they didn't expect the Raji injury, there was a pretty good chance that he would have been gone this year as well. I would've thought that TT had a better plan than what we've seen. Did he really over estimate the production of this D-line by that much? Or was this world-beating linebacking corps expected to pick up the slack.

+Lattimore showing enough to keep the starting spot away from Brad Jones

+Rodgers finally on track

+Cobb finally on track

+Richard Rodgers with his first two receptions

+AJ Hawk's best game since last year against the Ravens

+Except that play fake, Shields played admirably against receivers who are 6"-8" taller than he.

+Jordy got a new contract and is still underpaid

-Run defense non-existent.

-Officials with horrible calls on both teams

-No one could stop Martellus Bennett

-Micah Hyde looks lost out there

-Morgan Burnett still underperforming

-Eddie Lacy in a big sophomore slump
