--Burnett is never going to be better than an average safety

--Perry makes plays when given snaps, but there are few snaps in replacing Peppers & CM

--Our new "penetrating" DL scheme worked at times, but backfires when the penetrater  does not make the tackle (leaves gaps to run through)

Agree with all 3 of those statements above.

  • Ha HA is a baller
  • Lacy needs to stop having concussions or we'll be needing a new RB by 2015
  • Aaron Rodgers needs to be a LOT better

The 49ers and Seahawks have one consistent theme -  exceptional LB play and very underrated DL and DEs that can rush the passer.

GB has Clay Matthews.   That's it.  There is not one difference maker other than him.  Seattle and SF have 3-4 studs in their front seven and the remaining guys are very solid.

Last night it's very possible that other than Peppers and CMIII and maybe Daniels I'm not sure that their remaining four would even start for other teams much less make an impact.

When a game performance resembles a toilet bowl, everything looks like turds.

What I learned- 9/5 Big Show WSSP 4PM, Leroy Butler said "they have to play HaHa and put Morgan Burnett on the bench. They have to. But that's not the way they do it in GB."

IOW, they stick with players, and in a certain way it's admirable, and the player has to epic fail before they replace them. When it comes to safety play, I'm listening to Leroy Butler.

Hawk and Jones have been epic failures for 3 years. Please, TT, change the paradigm. Hawk was resigned- career goes to chit. Jones was resigned- career goes to chit. Burnett was resigned- career goes to chit. TT is ultimately responsible. But you also have to look at the position coaches and wonder what the hell they see in these guys.

We were officially -1 in the turnover differential, however Daniels penalty on the punt is really a turnover since it gave the ball back to the Seahawks. Visiting teams in general only have a 13% chance of winning when being -2 TO differential. Given Seattle home field advantage, being -2  probably results in 0% of winning.

Relax folks.  It's all about fundamentals and coaching - things that are easy to correct. I know this because ...because MM said so! And I have learned to believe in MM. Again, Packers 40 +, Jets 0.  I am pumped for next weekend.

Watched the game again. Couple of thoughts. I don't see how GB can start over Burnett over Ha Ha and Jones over Lattimore.

The new smaller quicker line is supposed to penetrate and alter gaps.Force the RB to change direction. Then fill gaps with the ILB and safety help. For this to work the ILBs need to attack. Hawk and Jones don't do this well. They are way to hesitant. You can get away with Hawk on the field if the other ILB is filling a gap. Fast. That guy isn't Jones. Those two play the same read and wait style. Lattimore is a  coverage liability but at least he can attack the line.

Regarding Burnett. He is a huge run support liability. For the same reasons. No t an attack guy. I also pin as much of the responsibility of the 10 man fiasco on him as I do the coaches.  You can't be a 5 year starter at S playing deep middle and not realize Hayward isn't in front of you. You call TO

Just MHO

I deleted the game. Can't watch that train wreck

Something needs to be done......Ka-Bong said it best...

"This is not a 1 game rant." - El-Ka-Bong

Burnett, Hawk, Jones they all need to be benched. Burnett's lack of run support is most surprising to me when Hyde & Ha Ha are on the field.

A shake-up needs to happen, this "stay the course" bull$hit has to stop beginning with game #2.

Talk about wasting a HOF QB's prime years. Good lord

Agree with it all. It is sooo frustrating to see these bums get pass after pass for their crappy play. Burnett is a great example of the way we go about business. The ONLY reason he starts now is because he was a high draft pick......what other reason could there be, he does NOTHING. Hawk and Brad Jones, also two guys who haven't ever done jack. Make the changes MM!!

Remember those heady days back in 2011?  13 season starting wins, 15 and 1,  dominating offense, unstoppable, talk of a dynasty.....

WTF happened?

Lack of a halfway decent defense happened.

Others here have said it best...."this is not a 1 game rant"

I know it was easy to pile on guys like MD Jennings but when you watched games last year Burnett was late to react and out of position on a routine basis.   Not sure much has changed this year.  In training camp and preseason Hyde and Ha Ha and Richardson looked and played better.

I have no idea what happened to him but Burnett probably needs to be replaced at some point as well.  Hyde has earned his spot and while Clinton Dix is a little raw he looks like a safety out there

Its approaching a 3 year rant for me.  When Picket sucked for 1 year, they did something about it.  Why do Hawk, Jones, Raji and Burnett get a pass year after year?

Everyone knows the middle of the D is pathetic.  What could it hurt to try the guys behind them on the roster?

Also, its time to start questioning TT.  Whme Rodgers was out we were a mediocre team at best.  Failed top round picks year after year is catching up to us.   He does better than anyone in the late rounds and rfa's, but you have to hit higher than 20% on 1 through 3. Hopefully this class reverses the trend.

Don't tell that to Tiny LB!

That dude MUST have screwed somebody's ol lady at EA Sports.

That dude is Christian Kirksey. Drafted by the Browns. Somehow put on the Titans as a 1'2" LB on Madden 2015.

Even at 1'2", IC thinks he's going to be a good one

The guy who studied Ron Wolf and learned his lessons best was John Schneider. His free agents and trades include Marshawn Lynch, Percy Harvin, Michael Baldwin, Cliff Avril, Doug Baldwin and Jermaine Kearse. Not sure if he made the Lynch trade... and I won't go into his drafting because that will definitely depress us.
