Now that Justin Smith isn't there to eat up blockers for him, I was actually kinda looking forward to seeing that turd start all 16 games and finish with 2 sacks. His NFL career is probably over.

Gonna be a whole lotta green and gold in Santa Clara this year. It'll be at least half Packers fans if the 49ers start out 0-3. I had a miserable time at Candlestick for the playoff game (both the game and the scumbag fans, most of whom seemed to be carnies and/or gangbangers), but I have little doubt I'll be smiling as I leave this upcoming game.

from PFT for giggles:

Smith told KGO in San Francisco this morning that he’s sorry he got himself in trouble again but he wasn’t driving under the influence.

“The people who are faithful remain faithful,” Smith said. “Simple as this: Justice will be served, the truth will come out, there’s no DUI. I’m sorry for anybody I let down, I’m sorry for the way this whole thing . . . I need to speak and I want everybody to understand, this wasn’t a DUI, the situation I had could have been handled differently and I apologize for everybody I did let down and I apologize for how it all played out. But as far as everything is concerned, it will work out the way it’s supposed to work out. That’s all.”

The Santa Clara Police Department says Smith will face charges of hit and run and vandalism in addition to DUI. Smith declined to explain what happened. He’ll just say he wasn’t driving drunk.

Kaepernick has been tough to deal with, but they've lost some pieces on that O-Line that I think will make it a little easier for the Pack to rattle his cage a bit.

Plus, the biggest reason the 49ers had the Pack's number was that they could slow down the Pack's offense.  I don't think they'll be able to slow the Pack's offense with the amount of really excellent players they lost on the defensive side of the ball since the last time the 2 teams faced eachother.

The 49ers will give the Pack a tough game since it will be on the road and the Pack will be working on short rest since they play a Monday Night game before it. But with all the defensive losses the 9ers have, the Pack definitely has a good shot at beating them this time around.

The way this offseason has been going for SF Kaep might be Aldon's hit and run victim.

Holy ****. The car Aldon hit (twice) belongs to Kaepernick and apparently they were involved with the same woman.

This bad offseason is on HGH and unlike anything in the history of sports.

He isn't playing football this year, that's for sure, and he can't serve a fixed suspension unless he's under contract with a team (unless it's one of Goodell's "indefinite" suspensions, where he just decides when you get to come back). If he does just get a regular 16 game suspension, I guess it's possible he could sign for the vet minimum with some team and sit out. Do you imagine he could stay out of trouble for a full year with nothing to do? Me neither. I guess Pacman Jones pulled it off, but the odds are still long for a turd like this one.

I'd sign Aldon right now. Kaep was drilling his woman. Holy **** the thought of Keapernick knowing his blindside is revenge, hatred, and hurt. Sign me up right damn now.

And the 49ers are going 0-16 this year. That team is screwed for years. Their own QB is ****ing over a defense that was already ****ed.

Trent Baalke. Itchangesthatfast.

So this is the young woman that Smith and Kaepernik were allegedly fighting over.

I'm sorry, I don't care how hot she is, you don't jack your teammates squeeze.

If true, Kaepernick is a flaming bag of ****.

Probably not elected team captain this year.

Dayum, look at that bootie. I think I might throw my hat into the ring. Can someone tell me where Kaep parks his car? If that's all a guy has to do to hook up with her, I'm in.

from PFT:

“He’s not a guy you can just replace; he’s got a unique skill set,” Mangini said, via the San Francisco Chronicle. “But one of the things we’ve focused on defensively is building flexibility in terms of what we can play.”

One way the 49ers are doing that is through an increased number of blitzes. Left tackle Joe Staley said that the defense is running more blitzes this summer than “we’ve seen in the previous six combined” and the team’s ability to generate pressure with just four rushers didn’t get any better with Smith’s departure.

Ahmad Brooks, Aaron Lynch, Corey Lemonier and rookie Eli Harold will be the outside linebackers Mangini will be choosing between to implement blitzes and everything else now that Smith is out of the picture.

if mangina thinks he's gonna blitz away the 9ers pass rush problems it's gonna be a long season in Santa Clara.  might work on the lower tier teams but he's gonna get burnt hard by the upper tier.
