Teams have ZERO patience to develop anything. If you aren't winning in 2-3 years (sometimes even less) you're gone.
Whisenhunt was allowed to handpick his QB to develop. He was given 5 games to develop him.

As much of a petulant twit Harbaugh can be, he was the reason CK succeeded as he understood the skill set and put him in the best situation to succeed. That and having Gore and that OL was a big factor. All of those factors are gone.
Very true. Harbaugh is not a likeable guy as an adversary, but the guy does find a way to bring the best out of most of the guys that play for him. For all the praise we give Mike McCarthy, he could not beat Harbaugh's teams no matter who was QBing for them... Alex Smith/Colin Kaepernick... I believe Harbaugh's team won every single time no matter who the QB was.
The one negative you can really say about Harbaugh is he is so intense and competitive that he can make those around him miserable, and that can cause some burnout over time for everyone including himself. It will be interesting to see how he does at Michigan. He certainly has turned things around quickly there, but will he be able to sustain it for more than 3 or 4 years? The fire and intensity that make Harbaugh great can also backfire over time as most human beings just can't stomach that insane level of competitiveness for a long period.

Except that the college kids only have to put up with him for 4 years. He's probably a better fit in college for a long-term job.
With the possible exception of his punter.quote:Very true. Harbaugh is not a likeable guy as an adversary, but the guy does find a way to bring the best out of most of the guys that play for him.
Harbaugh is a fantastic fit in college because his style will work. You guys are correct he will burn out in the NFL over the long haul. It works perfect in college because the guys are gone in 4 years or less

Neither -- it was Tebow trying to become relevant again.
