+ Scoreboard!
+ The offense built a lead and the defense did enough to keep it.
+ We learned there was a guy named Henry Black on the roster.
- When did they re-hire Ron Zook?
- The Texans aren't a good team.

+ Packers dominated despite A LOT of missing starters. Against a crap team or not, that's still impressive.
+Davante. Clearly, the rust is shaken off.
+ Jamal Williams adding to his resume. Someone is going to pay him starter pay in 2021
-Special Teams. Ooof.
+ Reshuffled o-line was good enough
+ D. Adams
+ Defense didn't give up big plays and tackled well
- AR missed on three throws that should have been big plays
- Defense missing out on making big plays (two "whiff"'s on free runs to the QB / two dropped INTs)
Driving back from Rhinelander today, so had to listen to the game. Rodgers seemed like he was really keying on Adams. Running game never really got going until late. Defense stepped up though... lots of pressure, still banged up. Texans donβt have big time weapons anymore, so itβs good that they shut them down for the most part.
Billy Turner played pretty well at LT. Granted, itβs not a murders row he was facing but this still isnβt his comfort zone or position. When you donβt hear your name called as an OL, thatβs a pretty good day.
+ Wasn't always pretty, but OL got it done (no sacks).
+ Adams
+ Williams- he's not as dynamic as jones but still a very good player.
+ Preston Smith
- Rough day for special teams.
- Three consecutive three and outs after the last Adams TD. AR also missed on few that he typically doesn't.
- MVS needs to catch that last ball.
+ winning on the road with 6 starters from opening day out with injuries (7 if you include Barnes leaving the game early)
Can we put to bed this idea of "targeting Adams" when it's 100% clear there are no other viable receivers on this team besides Adams and Lazard?
+The defense played better than I thought it would even though they missed some frustratingly easy sacks. Houston actually does have a very good WR corps and the Pack kept them in check with Kevin King out again.
-AJ Dillon. In fairness, he really didn't have much room to run, but man does he look straight lined and stiff in the little bit he does play. Hopefully he'll relax a bit at some point and show he was worth the 2nd round pick but so far, he really does not look like I had hoped he might.
Another thing good about today as compared to last week .... we were getting out the huddle much quicker which does two things : 1) AR has more opportunity to change the play / protection 2) Not snapping the ball as the play clock expires EVERY play which allows the d-lineman to negate the o-line's advantage of knowing when the snap is coming.
Anytime you can keep AR clean good things normally happen. He wasn't perfect, but he was damn good.
I would not be shocked to see GB retain Williams and let Jones go. There's only so much in the bank and franchise LTs don't grow on trees. Although Bak is 29 so I guess that has to be considered.
Adams was ridiculous. Not sure what else can be said about him at this point. He has put himself in the conversation of the best at his position in the league.
Scott kicked the ball well.
Special teams was horrible. Very poor effort on a few plays.
The 2019 version of the Smith brothers is way better than the 2020 version so far.
MVS sucks.
As long as GB chooses to rely on people like Ty Summers playing MLB, there will be a ceiling on how far the team can go. Summers is a fringe NFL ST-type player, not a starting MLB... injuries be damned.
Kirksey > Summers > Martin > Barnes
+ offense was grrrrrrrrrrreat in the 1st half
+ defense was grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat for 3 qtrs
+++++ ADAMS, JAIRE
-- MVS
---- it just started snowing in central Wis
Been snowing here for a week.
Paws
Negs
- I honestly had no idea who Henry Black was.
+ Forgot Jaire Alexander. Teams not testing him at all, probably wise of them.
Why was Gary Rashan "Inactive" for today's game?
No Gary had a sack that was negated for a penalty
Neg - Not enough to matter
Pos - 17 and 30
MLF...face facts...he's a really good coach. He has never lost back to back games. Hell, he's never had two bad games in a row coaching. The team was without significant firepower today and he still figured out how to put of 35 points on the road.
Next up, keep his streak in the division alive by taking it to the Queens.
Preston Smith looked like his 2019 version today. Hopefully that's a trend.

So....he didn't have a sack?
Gary has no football instincts. Forgot there was an edge a couple times, no threat to make a killer move on his rush.
Mvs has no football instincts.

I don't think there's anything wrong with Preston other than we was being used wrong. I get trying to cover for shitty ILB but that's not the reason you paid the guy.
Rob Demovsky@RobDemovskyThe Packers' much-maligned pass rush came up with 13 pressures today, their season high, per ESPN Stats & Information. https://es.pn/2J24Rkp
TT never seriously addressed MLB and left the cupboard bare. Gut hasn't addressed it either. One of the great injustices over AR's career.
Sterberger caught an important pass.
Iβm fact, nice work all around from the te position
o line picked it up after some really shitty run blocking to start the game
I like how mayo calls a game

He was facing JJ Watt. Don't you know he should have given up eleventy billion sacks?
almost forgot +++++++++++++++++
GB 5-1 MIN 1-5
Billy Turner's alter ego Bobby Turner = mucho stud
+ 5-1, offense rolls, defense is efficient, too. Jamaal Williams is one fun dude. We have a guy named Henry Black? What a hit!
- We need to get rid of the Notre Dame alums. Dexter Williams stunk up the joint and as usual, no sign of ESB. All potential; no production. And yet again MVS has opportunities to step up and does not. Special teams not so special.
With all the injuries & backups playing today, just getting the win was "pretty."
In defense of special teams - nice downed punt at the 2 yard line, perfect on xp'Is, no penalties on returns. Flukey play on the onside kick. The blocked punt was terrible, but this is not a Zook squad.
I am also very happy to see Dillon getting the reps early. Very confident that he will be much improved when we really need him in late season...

Didn't ESB down the punt at the 2-yd line?
+ Solid bounce back win after the beating last week
+ Jamaal- Idk if I agree that he's starting caliber, but he balls every week and he's a huge reason the offense has been so good 5 of 6 games. He adds a lot to this team.
+ Even though Adams was huge, AR involved everyone today. And while MVS can be a liability, if he's part of an offense where each guy is asked to give them 2-3 plays a game, I think he's capable of that.
+ No Jones, Williams and Dillon did enough to get the W today. Same for the secondary. The dropoff after King might be clear, but I like this young secondary. Outside of Jaire, they may not be stellar, but the serious mental errors are less so far this year and each week they're gaining experience. They tackled much better today as well.
- Special teams was special ed today.
- Sullivan can be such a heady player, not sure what that was all about today.
