+ Wasn't always pretty, but OL got it done (no sacks).

+ Adams

+ Williams- he's not as dynamic as jones but still a very good player.

+ Preston Smith

- Rough day for special teams.

- Three consecutive three and outs after the last Adams TD.  AR also missed on few that he typically doesn't.

- MVS needs to catch that last ball.

+The defense played better than I thought it would even though they missed some frustratingly easy sacks.  Houston actually does have a very good WR corps and the Pack kept them in check with Kevin King out again.

-AJ Dillon.  In fairness, he really didn't have much room to run, but man does he look straight lined and stiff in the little bit he does play.  Hopefully he'll relax a bit at some point and show he was worth the 2nd round pick but so far, he really does not look like I had hoped he might.

Anytime you can keep AR clean good things normally happen.  He wasn't perfect, but he was damn good.

I would not be shocked to see GB retain Williams and let Jones go.  There's only so much in the bank and franchise LTs don't grow on trees. Although Bak is 29 so I guess that has to be considered.

Adams was ridiculous.  Not sure what else can be said about him at this point. He has put himself in the conversation of the best at his position in the league.

Scott kicked the ball well.

Special teams was horrible.  Very poor effort on a few plays.

The 2019 version of the Smith brothers is way better than the 2020 version so far.

MVS sucks.

As long as GB chooses to rely on people like Ty Summers playing MLB, there will be a ceiling on how far the team can go.  Summers is a fringe NFL ST-type player, not a starting MLB... injuries be damned.

Paws

  • Run Defense good again.   M. Adams is starting to look like he actually belongs on the field.
  • MLF game plan for the personnel he had.
  • Jaire is officially a shutdown corner.  0 targets last week, think 1 this week.
  • OL held up.  Game plan helped

Negs

  • WR group outside of Adams and Lazard is pathetic.
  • Special Teams.  Glad it happened on a week that it didn’t matter.
  • Was hoping for more from Dillon.  Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t impressive.

Neg - Not enough to matter

Pos - 17 and 30

MLF...face facts...he's a really good coach. He has never lost back to back games. Hell, he's never had two bad games in a row coaching. The team was without significant firepower today and he still figured out how to put of 35 points on the road.

Next up, keep his streak in the division alive by taking it to the Queens.

+ 5-1, offense rolls, defense is efficient, too.  Jamaal Williams is one fun dude.  We have a guy named Henry Black?  What a hit!

- We need to get rid of the Notre Dame alums.   Dexter Williams stunk up the joint and as usual, no sign of ESB.   All potential; no production.  And yet again MVS has opportunities to step up and does not.  Special teams not so special.

In defense of special teams - nice downed punt at the 2 yard line, perfect on xp'Is, no penalties on returns.  Flukey play on the onside kick.  The blocked punt was terrible, but this is not a Zook squad.

I am also very happy to see Dillon getting the reps early.  Very confident that he will be much improved when we really need him in late season...

Didn't ESB down the punt at the 2-yd line?

+ Solid bounce back win after the beating last week
+ Jamaal- Idk if I agree that he's starting caliber, but he balls every week and he's a huge reason the offense has been so good 5 of 6 games. He adds a lot to this team.
+ Even though Adams was huge, AR involved everyone today. And while MVS can be a liability, if he's part of an offense where each guy is asked to give them 2-3 plays a game, I think he's capable of that.
+ No Jones, Williams and Dillon did enough to get the W today. Same for the secondary. The dropoff after King might be clear, but I like this young secondary. Outside of Jaire, they may not be stellar, but the serious mental errors are less so far this year and each week they're gaining experience. They tackled much better today as well.

- Special teams was special ed today.
- Sullivan can be such a heady player, not sure what that was all about today.
