League policy is if you haven't had that type of infraction for 32 games, including preseason ones, the slate is wiped clear. Suh had just passed that mark, so they lifted the suspension, but were able to fine him.

It was PI. It was defensive holding before the PI. It was 15 yards on Dez Bryant for being on the field yelling at the refs with his helmet off after the defensive holding and the PI. None called.

Just a monumental **** job by everyone associated with NFL refereeing from Goodell to Blandino to the dip****s that decided to piece together crews for the playoffs with guys that never work together.

Goodell is going to destroy the NFL. I'm convinced it's going to happen. He's a ****ing moron.

I guess you can say he stomped his way out of Detroit.

He'll be a big part of its downfall, but football will be ruined by the concussion fears. In 15 years, high school football will be a shadow of its former self (particularly amongst coddled, suburbanite kids). The same thing happened with boxing after the Second World War, suburbanite mommies didn't want their babies in mean, nasty boxing gyms.

1 call (reversal) isn't the reason the Lions lost. And yes I realize it was a bad one.

However, to call the penalty, then just "pickup the flag"....simply inexcusable.

Who cares....Did you all really want to snooze through the divisional game vs. Carolina if Detoilet had won???

The best football game I've seen this year was Patriots at Lambeau. I want good football. I want the best teams playing on divisional weekend.

You must play good football to win. The refs will swallow the whistles, for the most part. Elite teams win no matter what is called. Time to prove to everyone how elite Green Bay is.

Dallas will not give the Packers a good game - they suck.   You'll have to wait for the Seattle game.

That reversal was pure BS and I think did cost the game for the lions.  JC they would have been in the red zone.  And what about Dez's rant? That should have been a flag as well.  Fk the Cowboys, and Fk Dez.

Then Jordy's job will be to slap those hands away. Jordy is excellent & he is the least of my worries. Likewise the Dallass pass defense is the least of my worries

From what I saw, M.D. Jennings has changed his name to something like Idahahoego and is now playing safety for the Lions. Something tells me the lions will be looking for their Ha-Ha in the draft.

If not snoozing through a game and if good football depends on bogus officiating, I care, I would rather snooze through a game, and I would rather not have the best teams playing.

The PI call was a 50/50 type play. The Dez Bryant part of it should have been a 15 yard penalty, no ifs, ands, or buts. I'm not defending his previous actions, but if Suh would have run on the field and done that in a similar situation they'd have escorted him out with police.

I think boxing is a good analogy. From about the 1920s to the 1970s, heavyweight boxers were the biggest celebrities in the world. Dempsey, Tunney, Joe Louis, Marciano, Ali, Frazier, etc. The pipeline dried up after World War 2 and it took another 15 years or so for that to manifest itself in a decline at the professional level. Aside from the freak show that was Tyson, professional boxing hasn't been a major sport in about 30 years.

The part I'd disagree with is the "coddled" part from your post. I love watching football, but my wife and I will not let my son play. It's not because he's coddled- we actually have him running long distance in track and cross country - which requires some commitment on a kid's part (50-60 miles a week for training). It's because I don't want him to suffer from memory loss or personality changes after getting hit in the head.

I really struggle with watching football given my day job (I'm a biomedical researcher and geneticist) and what I know about the effects of traumatic head injuries. I enjoy football because coaching has a bigger effect than in any other sport. Setting up schemes, getting the best matchups, reading defenses make football more interesting than most other sports.

PI call was 50/50?

You can't call it then have a guy 20 yards away over rule it because he had a better view. Add Dez and it should have been 1st and 10 Lions on Dallas 14 with 8:00 left.

How in the world do we get to 2015 and have a play like this happen in a playoff game? NFL says PI isn't review-able but didn't the refs kind of review this one on their own?

Eff it. The kitties crumbled. Kind of expected. Time for a good old fashioned beat down.
