because Bumbles Bounce !....( but MVP Quarterbacks don't )

My take is Schefter's "source" are all the Packers writers who bought into Rodgers demeanor at his locker yesterday when he said he had a sense of whether he'll play but wasn't saying and he didn't smirk or grimace or fart when speaking.

Schefter-Elf and his ilk often have deals with the agents.

Schefter gets inside info from them and to pay them back he will release tweets saying things like:

" Steven Jackson is about to sign with GB" in the middle of the ATL negotiations

The agent gets leverage and more cash based on Schefter goosing the Tweeter and Schefter "hears" and reports news first from the agents, helping his cause. Very cozy

We saw it yesterday with NFP getting inside/upfront info from Jack Bechta on the Jolly injury.

I also think the Pack/Aaron are pissed off about all the leaks and that yesterdays' dour news was a set- up to make Schefter look silly. Schefter is going with " NO", we'll see what happens in a few moments

"As an organization we're not ready for Aaron to play" MM

MM "Aaron is not cleared medically".

FWIW, MM seems rather annoyed he's not able to play. Very much seems like this is NOT MM's decision.

This does seem like an excessive amount of inter-organizational strife for a collarbone injury.

If it was and ACL or something I can see being overly cautious. But I would expect the player and the HC to be more accepting and not visually perturbed every time they have to talk about it.

In answering how AR did this week, MM said AR did everything he could and in explaining it MM's body language very much was that MM felt he didn't know what else Aaron needed to do to prove he could play.

IMO, pretty clear this was not MM's decision at all and this was MM doing all he could to go to bat for AR.

Ted and McKenzie made this decision.

I wonder how they decide who is going to take the reps with the first string and second string during the week.

That must be a PITA for MM. He owes it to MF to get him reps with the first team even if AR looks fine and feels fine because they have to wait around until Friday to see if the Doc is going to let AR play.

Yet if AR looks fine and feels fine and therefor has a good chance of being able to play on Sunday, he should get the reps during the week.

Pure guess.

But I do wonder how much of this from TT's perspective is he doesn't believe this defense is going to take them deep into the playoffs therefore why risk placing his franchise QB at risk for doing serious damage to that collarbone?

Especially when you consider if healthy Rodgers could quite conceivably play at a high level another 8 years.

Again, just a guess...

That makes sense, but if that was it, I would think AR and MM would be a little more on board with the logic and less openly annoyed.

The decision would have been made weeks ago and should have been accepted by everybody by now.

IMO there is reason for TT to wonder if he is no longer on board with Capers:

1.) A guy obviously TT wants in GB to stay and offered him plenty to do it in BJ Raji gave the Packers a "thank you but no thank you" in what was a VERY generous contract offer. It's speculation but it sure seems Raji wants out.

2.) TT's 2013 top draft pick is seeing as low as 15% of the snaps in Datone Jones is nearly a non-factor with Capers.

3.) His top 2012 draft pick is playing on the wrong side of the DL despite plenty of scouts/observers openly wondering why Nick Perry isn't playing on the right side.

Just 3 examples but couple that with AR's long term health and this defenses performance, ya it makes me wonder.

Blast away.

It would make no sense to fire him now. They will play this out and see what Capers does through seasons end. And if TT wants MM to go in another direction, why would he fire him now and then hire one of Capers staff as his replacement?

If Capers would be out, IMO GB wouldn't go within the organization. Especially when carrots are dangling like Phillips who is almost certainly out with the Texans.

Is TT purposely holding Aaron out to prove 'We can win without you, so don't get a gigantic ego like Favre'?

Gimme a break man. The guy is ready to play with a healed collarbone break to his NON-throwing shoulder.

Are they being "paid-off" by the league & Goodell to try & get 1st year head coach Trestman into the playoffs? This is bull$hit.

Rodgers is ready to play & has proven in practice he can play. Something else is going on here.

Wow. Imagine if AR had sustained multiple concussions during a season...............

Oh. Thats right. Where was this concern when TT managed the backup QB situation like AR was made of diamonds?

Just give the party line that he hasn't been cleared medically. Its something that doesn't invite more questions to a HC that seems more than a bit peeved.

Pboi,

I can't imagine the fact that TT is holding AR out, because the D is no good.  The D would be better with AR in, and presumably putting up 25+ points/game.  Also, if your theory is correct, there is no possible way that MM and other players would understand.  As we saw in MIA last week, its takes 53 players to win in the league, but with this theory is that 1 player equals the other 52 players.  We can't win, because we don't have X, so we'll tank the rest of the games.  IMO, no way TT thinks that way.

Let's also not forget this was reportedly a "crack" in the collarbone and it obviously never required surgery.

The 6-8 weeks healing time is for fractures where the collarbone breaks clean in half and screws and plates are put in. Rodgers needed none of that.

Fine. Call me a conspiracy theorist. But something else is up...
