My son and I found ourselves engrossed in it yesterday. It grows on you...
When did ski jumpers get tracks to run in?
Why all the LOUD YELLING in curling??? WOW.
How else do you tell them when to start sweeping and when to stop?
Is that really it??? Ha ha, did kind of enjoy it. Felt bad the USA mixed team lost, they were doing so well.
Actually, I'm not 100% sure that's it, but they do have to communicate somehow.
You mean I grew -up in a household that curling was going on in?
Mom's screaming fits made my hair curl.
I don't know about the Winter Olympics, but I am watching the NFL top 10 Hail Mary plays. AR & the Packers occupy places 5 vs Giants, 6 vs Cardinals, & 7 vs Lions. The "Failed Mary" play made the list at number 3. Also the Giants Hail Mary vs GB was at number 4. That is 5 places that involve the Packers.
The Vikings were in at least 2 of them. #1 was when the Cowboys Roger & Person connected for the first. #2 was the Vikings vs the Browns when Kramer completed one. The play that the Cardinals completed vs the Vikings that put the Packers in the playoffs got a mention.
Maybe the Olympics need a Hail Mary event. The representative from the US would the Packer offense with AR throwing it.
Too bad they are in position so often to need a Hail Mary...thanks dom

Watch this. Idiot ref not calling offensive PI on Sydney Rice....

AND how could the NFL not overturn that TD....
Haven't watched a minute of it, have they made up any new events this year? Any that have more than 10 participants worldwide?

Damn straight, YA! Sidney Rice was all over Sam Shields, who was in position to intercept the pass. The call should have been OPI Seattle. Then, Tate should have gotten a penalty for pushing off Sam Shields in the end zone and MD Jennings should have been given credit for the interception on the Fail Mary. The official who made the call should have been overridden by the League in the official review. The Packers were screwed by a replacement official who, reportedly, later said he was a Seahawks fan.

thanks...thats so painful to watch...
Well, that Band-aid was ripped off again, just like GB was ripped off. Shields was so perfect on that coverage and Rice tried to use him as a ladder. All-around a massive rip-off by the refs.

Quite the dumb comment.

Idiot wasn't competent as a HIGH SCHOOL REF near me! Wrote a book about his "trial" for being a famous moron. How he couldn't understand how rare "Simultaneous possession" calls are is beyond me. But maybe he just wanted the thrill of 60,000 crazed fans screaming when he raised his hands. Other ref who originally motioned for the INT should've overruled him. And it tells you all you need to know about "Petey" that he never admitted it was the wrong call....
YATittle posted:
Shows how inexperienced he was. You don't wait to see who has possession of the ball when they're both on the ground like he says he did, you see who has it in the air, that both hands are on the ball at all times, and that possession is maintained all the way to the ground. When Tate's hand clearly flies off before they hit the ground it's an interception from that instant on. How the replay guy botched it as well is a total mystery.
The NFL said Easley made the correct call but also said the play should have been nullified by an offensive pass interference call on Tate. The call hastened a labor agreement with permanent officials.
Easley said he has retired from all levels of officiating, so he doesn't feel like there was a conflict of interest with him being an umpire in the game.
Easley, who has a book coming out in August about his call and its effect on his life, told reporters Sunday that he should have conferred with other members of the officiating crew before making the touchdown calls but said he he wouldn't change his call.
"I made a call, it was a correct call -- even though Green Bay fans will never say it's correct -- it was a difficult call, and it was one you just don't want. As an official you want black-and-white calls, you don't want gray calls, and that was a gray call that you had to be involved in and make it within a couple of seconds," he said, according to The Herald.
Information from ESPN.com NFC North blogger Kevin Seifert and The Associated Press was used in this report.
Watch that Sam Shields play on Sidney Rice again. He's got a VERY sneaky grab of Rice's jersey with his left hand while he plays the ball in the air with his right. Subtle, but it is there. (and pretty damn athletic, I have to say - it's really too bad he can no longer play) Should have been off-setting with Rice going over Shields.
That sneaky grab goes on every game--seldom draws a flag, and was not as egregious as Rice's actions.

That's what I was thinking.
They've removed part of the skill.
Ski jumping: not for the faint of heart.
Women's curling is nice but far short of beach volleyball. Last time I became a big fan of the Danish girls and their passionate screaming. Blondes screaming really can be interesting or Stormy.
Better quality video. Feel most sorry for the guy who leaps and his ski just falls off in mid-air... Yikes.

I see what you did there.

But accurate, they need 3 weekends of TV.

Watch for Matt Antoine in the skeleton. He won a bronze in 2014. He is also from Prairie du Chien WI and went to high school with my daughters.

Not even close.

Another example of false advertising. I would bet "de-feet" wasn't the only body part hurting. Could throw in a back, ribs, leg (or two), and a couple arms & shoulders - and that might be conservative.
and he's going to the Daytona 500 with Danica!!
We know where Aaron Rodgers will be on Sunday: Daytona International Speedway.
The Green Bay Packers quarterback will be in attendance to cheer on driver Danica Patrick at the 60th annual Daytona 500 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
“He’s going to be here to support me and he’s excited,” Patrick told the Associated Press. “I’m excited to show him what I do.”
