Explain The word "MeAting"

Some other people have inquired about the source of MeAting and coincidentally the whereabouts of the late great Iowacheese.

Iowacheese was a legendary X4 poster/punching bag. His goofy, down-home persona (as well as him being a diehard Iowa fan) and posting style made him an easy target for good-natured mocking and other ribald chicanery. Not only could IC take his bashing like a champ, he could respond just as quickly with another humorous beatdown towards his accuser.

Because IC was a vaguely in-the-closet cop, he wasn't that bright, and sometimes typing the English language was too much for his minuscule Hawkeye brain to handle. Among the many solecisms he created:

 • Meat instead of meet (i.e. "Let's Meat")
 • Ewe instead of you
 • adding -ya to the end of poster's usernames
 • He once tried to copy and paste a link to a picture stored on his hard drive in a post here. Literally, the post ended up reading:

There are many other examples of IC-isms

Despite being a beloved X4 regular, IC has not been seen since an incident in PMs when a pissing match gone awry led to someone involved getting doxxed. IowaCheese is a sweet boy and we all hope and pray he returns to X4 one day.

Post of the year. You did forget to add that he and Fedya were in a relationship. That is why he insisted on adding "ya" at the end of everyone's names.

What is Logan Mankins' YAC all about?

Once upon a time, many years ago, there dwelled a member of the aforementioned "old guard" named Squirrelpee. Squirrelpee was the typical middle-aged New England woman on the internet, relatively harmless but also not-at-all-bright nor seemed to have any idea how the internet worked. Also, she was a diehard Mike Sherman fan, and naturally didn't look kindly upon Ted Thompson for this reason.

Now I forget the exact circumstances, but the 2005 draft and/or busts had been brought up. During this exchange, she had mentioned that Logan Mankins, a 1st round pick for the Patriots, had -9 YAC (Yard after the Catch) and therefore must be a colossal bust. Now good readers, if you have been remotely paying attention to football in the past decade, you must know that Logan Mankins was an offensive guard, and therefore never received many opportunities to catch the ball, nor work on improving his YAC.

Naturally, X4 raked that one over the coals for all it was worth. Squirrelpee was already starting to phase out of the forums at that point, and this incident certainly helped speed up the process.

Epilogue: Logan Mankins never did improve on his YAC. Poor fella.

 Good Riddens to him.

Personally, I liked Squirrelpee.   I thought she was nice, and it helped to have a woman's touch around the place.   I mean, just like at this pig sty now!

There was another dudette on here at the same time.  She had the hots for Scott Mitchell, one of many failed Loins QB's.   I think she got married and then left?

And then, how about Viking Girl?   Can't believe no one mentioned that we had an enemy spy amongst us.  Alas, she went to a local meeting of X4 members and hooked a rabid Packer fan and married his butt!  I don't think either posts much anymore.

Lionheart was just too easy.   He had this horrible web site taunting Packer fans and playing up the woeful Loins.

Yooper used to post a lot; don't see much from him anymore.  Then again, I retire in 3 weeks and maybe I'll be out fishing more and posting less; who knows?

Wasn't it East Coast Packer Fan who said his brother had inside knowledge of some big move the Packers were making?   Swore up and down on his mother's grave.   Turns out he was wrong.  i think he made a quick escape after that.

I liked Squirrelpee too.

Except for being a queens fan, Viking Girl (Lynne?) was good people.
I was at the 2002 X4 get together at Kroll's, along with I2H, Ships2, and a bunch of other people that I'd have to check in my archives to name.

Her Packer fan husband was a wood worker...?
His family including the mom, all had equipment related names, ?helmet, ?cleats, etc.

She was too sensitive. Any time there was a whiff of negativity toward Sherman she would cry about it. Who was the Packers executive that died? I remember when that happened she told us she was going to "call the Shermans" to make sure everyone was okay and to find out the story, but we never got a report from that. I'm still waiting on that report.
