Don't look now, but over the last 4-5 games the Packers D is allowing a mere 12.5-13 points per game. That is championship defense, friends.

i think they would have shut out the Vikings without the turnovers and turnovers are very inconsistent to this team.

i also believe that they will shut out the lions next week.

Be afraid, NFC, be very afraid...

this team is peaking on defense at the perfect time!!

I couldn’t stick around either as other stuff going on so had to bounce but Aaron Jones and the D played amazing.  Adams was very good as well.

You just don’t see teams run like that on the Vikings.

I think that’s the template going forward.  RTFB, play good D and have Rodgers hit some throws on occasion.   The media is calling it “winning ugly” but we all know they need another TE and probably WR so make the most of it.  No team in the NFC is without flaws (including SF) so win next week and see where things end up.

MLF deserves some love here.   We got creative in the run game and ran some stuff we haven’t shown all season.   I expect more of that come playoff time.

He is about to go 6-0 in the division as a 1st year coach.  That’s amazing.

as soon as I saw the play developing where Aaron Jones ran for 56 yards, I hollered great play call before he even hit the line. You could just see that was going to hit. Good job MLF. Aaron Rodgers may not throw 4tds a game consistenltly any more but except for a couple of throws he was putting the ball right on the money. The two bad throws were to Aaron Jones and Davante where they both had to spin around. This level or Aaron Rodgers is still championship level.

+++++

Allen Lazard needs to see more plays.  The guy blocks very good, catches and yacs.

Entire Defense. Played lights out.

Vikings give up when they punted with 3 minutes left. It was 4th and 4 and still had 16 seconds on the play clock when the time out was called. I know the 16 seconds were important but the time out should have been more important. Let the clock run out and take the penalty.

January Football.  You have to love it when your team is playing in Jan.  That includes the Badgers as well as the Packers.

I did bring my Packer flag in......but my flock of penguins are all around my yard windmill looking up at the Packer “G”  so my viqueen neighbors can see them for a week.  (Hopefully the snow will stay around that long, ). I am soooooooooo happy the Packers won.  The defense looked awesome.  I see a tad of Reggie White in Smith, he had a fantastic game.

------The fumbles and turnovers that resulted. Our Offense can be better and they know it. There's a huge purple smear on the field that will take a lot of scrubbing to remove.

+++++Our Defense was stellar! ZSmith gets a game ball! Aaron Jones gets a game ball. Kark went down 4 times. The viking O line was a sieve for our pass rush and it seemed everybody on the Green Bay Defense got to pressure Kark during the game. Kevin King made momentum changing INT. King has been great for the Pack, this year. Barr took some time getting up after a play. I think he tweaked his hammy. He did not need a stretcher, but I felt a little satisfaction knowing that he wasn't himself after that play. Zimmer's handshake with MLF, at the end of the game, tells you all you need to know about vikingland. Some of that purple smear I mentioned in the negative category, came from Z. Smith's jersey after his relentless sacking of Kark, all night long. I'd wear that jersey like a badge of honor, Z!  GO PACK, GO!!!  I will be basking in the glow of this victory for a long time!

After the Niner game, t(played so shitty in that game), other teams would've folded vs. the Giants the following week. Not this team. They came out & did what they were supposed to do against an inferior team in their place.

THAT was when I started to believe. That's a big bounce back game after getting your asses handed to you. It shows the character of the team in that locker room.

I mentioned earlier in the week, if the Packers win, they will never be this big of an underdog (+5.5 / +200) Well, they won the game. Opening line vs Lions is -9.5 in Lambeau East.

They'll be favored in every game in the playoffs except on the road at SF they'll be no worse than +3.5.

Hope some of you made some Christmas cash. Those opportunities don't come along often.

Unbelievable performance by him last night.

That three and out by the Vikes to open the second half. You knew they were done.

Lazard caught THREE big third down conversions and blocked his ass off. Rodgers trusts him. That's a big plus going forward.

We haven't seen a defensive player wreck a game for the Packers like that since the early days of CMIII. And before that, you'd have to go to back Woodson and before that Reggie White.

This defense is "re-peaking" again at the absolute right time. Let's also not minimize the importance of playing at Lambeau. Take a fast offense like the Saints, Vikings, and at times the 49ers and now put them on a slow, slippery, outdoor track and what is likely to be weather under 25 degrees and that environment is every bit as game changing as Century Link in Seattle or that damn horned Stapler.

The team has that undefinable “it” thing going right now. They believe, so you do, too. Very, very cool.

I get the same feeling. This team and the wildcard team of 2010 are very similar.

Those sideline shots of Kirk Cousins on the sidelines near the end of the game, helmet off. He looked like a broken man. My wife was feeling sorry for him. This is gonna hurt for a long time.

Delighted to be wrong about this game.

Right.  The "I'll act like a complete pissant on regular basis and then conveniently be 'delighted' " tact.  Great cover for snivelers.  Anyone else notice the "fictions" that aren't present in any of these threads?

Yeah, I'm sure they're delighted.

Almost all of Z's sacks were up the gut.  We knew Gark wanted the Smiths because they could move them anywhere on the line but Z has absolutely been destroying the middle with Kenny.

Disagree.  The passing game still has no identity but the offense as a whole was absolutely methodical vs. the dynamism of the 2010 team.  Even with 3 TOs I was impressed with how in control the offense was.  They can grind teams down in the playoffs if the defense can keep doing what they did last night.

This team is an entirely different animal from what we've seen for the past decade.  The defense is creative, young and hungry.  The Oline just wants to smoke fools in the run game for Jones and Williams.  Add in Lewis and even WR blocking and it'll be damn interesting to see what happens in the playoffs.  Listening to Wayne and Larry last night Larry had more praise for the WR blocking, particularly GMo, than their receiving abilities.  Adams excluded of course.  I also wouldn't be surprised if Lazard does see some of the snaps Graham or Tonyan normally would because of the blocking and being a more explosive receiver.  I think this offense will tweener all over the place.   I also wonder if we'll see some heavy packages with Veldheer.

This team is a friggin' mystery and it's going to be fun to watch, win or lose.

MVS has been downgraded to #5 WR.   Here is the snap counts from last night.

Adams 62
Lazzard 58
Gmo 33
Kumero 28
MVS 11

Sullivan has passed Campbell at the the Safety / ILB position.   Love that kid.

Sullivan 26
Campbell 15
Goodson 12

Lewis saw the most snaps he has all year at TE and Tonyan had his 2nd highest total.

Lewis 41
Graham 41
Tonyan 23

The return of Opie Noodle Leg.  Now do that in Lambeau come playoff time.  Rather, I hope we don't see Opie at all.

For the past many games the complaint has been that Rodgers has been holding the ball.  Last night, he executed the MLF offense of quick passes.  There were more slants or in routes than we have seen in a long time.

While the result was only 216 yards passing, it highlights the talent problem at WR. With the exception of Adams, there isn't a WR who can consistently turn a short reception into another 5-10 yards.  A similar offense, the Rams, has two WR (Kupp, Woods) who are among the league leaders in yards after the catch.

The quick passing game is nice because it gives a rhythm to the offense, keeps the chains moving.  But, the next step needs us to get the WR or TE who get the yards after the catch.  That gets us to 26/40 for 300 plus yards, instead of 216.

It's really nice having a GM that actively looks to improve the team outside of only the draft.

I really thought playing in domes on the road was more advantageous for the offense in the 2010-14 period... But, now, HFA throughout would be huge vs niners or saints.

+ Superior game experience:  Wayne and Larry on the radio.  Even get to hear Uecker.   I just watched the stream, which was two plays behind, to see the routes and other player contributions.  I found myself checking the stream every other play by the end of the game.

Best advertising campaign ever next to Terry Tate.  Can't mention Mr. Baseball without pulling out one of these gems.

I went back & looked at 2017 draft. Packers drafted Vince beigel at top of round 4 then Jamal Williams at bottom of round 4.

Kittle was drafted top of round 5. I guess TT didn't like Kittle as much as Biegel & of course Jamal.

Oh well. Can't get em all right. But seeing Kittle in this offense would be a godsend
