2013 TM93 WK10: Philadelphia at Green Bay Gameday Thread

The Packers defense really knows how to take the crowd out of a game. Unfortunately they have played at home the last 2 weeks.

 

Disgusting.

Time for Dom Capers to go. That is THREE huge pass plays completed where our secondary guys were running around like Keystone cops. Enough!

 

Foles has 11 completions, and 3 of them are a 55 yard TD, a 45 yard TD, and a 32 yard TD. 

Lot of talk about how deep we are at DB---the reality is proving to be sadly very different.  Some of the coverage today is just simply inept.

That's that. Thank you "defense'. I thought this defense was supposed to get better when Burnett got back? Spent tons of draft picks on defense and we still have THIS? Say what you want, but it's either the personnel (TT) or the coaching (Capers). SOMEONE needs to answer for this crap.

Statistically, they are the worst red zone defense in the league. Unfortunately, they look like it on TV.

 

The holes in that secondary are so huge that it almost looks like they are playing a man down.

How do you guys feel about Capers' execution?

I'm tryin to behave myself here.

Our offense is missing Aaron Rodgers, Randall Cobb, both offensive tackles, and JerMichael Finley, and at least they're competitive. The defense...not so much. 

I was really amped about the defense taking big strides forward before the season, but it's all been regression. I thought they improved significantly from 2011 to 2012 (even with their struggles against Peterson and Kaepernick), but they've regressed in a big way in spite of having a much better defensive line this year. This can't be allowed to keep going on.

One positive...I think Tolzien is a very realistic option for #2 QB. Give him more time with MM and company, and he'll be just fine.

Would love to see some screens. The yards are there.

I still say that the personnel is overrated, along with Capers. But then you would have to blame the personnel on someone else. And we can never have that

Boykin is positively legit. Can't say 12's making him look better than he is today.

I feel like I'm talking about the Brewers at the end of the season again, but I'm seeing a lot of positives to take away from today. 

 

Tolzien is our backup. I've seen enough from him that he's a keeper. The accuracy will come with more reps. In 2010 he had the highest completion % in all of FBS. He's got good arm strength. 

Dante Jones has had some really good pressure at times. 

Boykin is looking outstanding! If we ever get Rodgers, Lacy, Nelson, Cobb, Jones and Boykin on the field at the same time, look out.
