No surprise about Thornton. TT whiffed hard with that pick. Dude showed nothing

Same with Bradford. That's a 3rd and 4th from last years class cut. Good thing for Adams and Linsley or that could have been painful.
DL are always hard. Many teams whiff there in the first round. As Wolf did...
@Michael_Cohen13: I've been told DT Khyri Thornton has been cut.
Learning from Ron Wolf. When you make a mistake, don't exacerbate the problem by keeping him around, ala Mike Sherman & BJ Sander
That's 15 cuts now. Only 7 more to go. Here is the list so far
â TE Justin Perillo
â TE Mitchell Henry
â OL Andy Phillips
â G Matt Rotheram
â C/G Garth Gerhart
â T Jeremy Vujnovich
â RB Rajion Neal
â WR Ed Williams
â DT Khryi Thornton
â ILB Carl Bradford
â ILB Joe Thomas
â LB James Vaughters
â CB Ryan White
â S Jean Fanor
â DT Christian Ringo
7 cuts remaining and here are the options to choose from
Jared Abbrederis
Kennard Backman
Chris Banjo
Don Barclay
Josh Boyd
John Crockett
Jayrone Elliot
Tay Glover-Wright
Demetri Goodson
LaDarius Gunter
Alonzo Harris
Andy Mulumba
Jermauria Rasco
Lane Taylor
Josh Walker
Myles White
Thornton was s mistake from the minute he was drafted. I'd be curious to read TT's draft report on him because nothing I read had him as even a 6th rounder and he never looked like an NFL player at any point in the last 16 months. TT is fallible and this was probably his worst draft pick to date. But love that TT has no ego and is able to admit a mistake and move on.

Bustin?
Even without Nelson, this team has a luxury of too many white WRs on one roster.
white receivers lives matter
Bustin actually played in a game, had very good draft reports coming out, and you can blame part of his career path on injuries. Thornton was just never an NFL player, which is pretty bad for a 3rd round pick.
And thanks to everyone who is posting roster cuts. Pretty cool for this community that I come here for instant Packer news and not ESPN, SI.com, Bleacher Report, JS Online, etc.
Woops, keep forgetting about Guion and JOnes suspensions. Team only has 5 more cuts to make

Bolded players are who I think are the ones who are cut. RB/WR the biggest toss-up. White or Abby and Crockett or Harris
Most surprised by Vaughters & Neal cuts. I think Vaughters is going to be a good player.
Actually happy they have kept both Harris & Crockett. Both super powerful, decisive runners.
We'll see. I would think they keep Harris and cut Crockett. I see one gone between Taylor, Walker, and Barclay, unless there is something we don't know about Bakhtiari or Lang's injuries--that would have them keep White.
cool article from NFP on cutdown day
http://www.nationalfootballpos...-final-cut-down-day/
Rookie minimum = $ 25,000 / week
Practice Squad = $ 6600/ week
Be surprised if they cut Abracadabra, seems like MM likes him as a punt returner.
Reminder from Silverstein about news later in the day.
Now I can go drop a hoagie instead of sitting here pushing the refresh button.
Since they aren't to 53 yet, both could still be gone.
Be still my heart for a healthy LT
@RobDemovsky: Sounds like the #Packers are keeping Myles White. No word on Jared Abbrederis yet, though.
@ByRyanWood: Deadline. All 32 NFL teams must have their rosters trimmed to 53. Here's what we know about the #Packers. http://t.co/x2GDTv3KuX
Looks like White is sticking, per Demovsky.
I think Boyd will stick now, go after first week when Jones comes back.
Count me surprised.
@Michael_Cohen13: RB Alonzo Harris and his agent did NOT receive a call prior to 3 p.m. He is safe.
Boyd is As safe as Arod. No way either is getting cut...Sorry for the jinx, Josh.
@RobDemovsky: Here's one guy who wasn't cut today!
@Chris1Banjo: Jeremiah 29:11
Lets get it!! #Blessed @ Lambeau Field https://t.co/WXEhuNaTZC
Hmmm.
@ByRyanWood: A source on #Packers RB Alonzo Harris: "95 percent he's on the 53." Looks like #Packers will indeed keep three tailbacks on their roster.
@ByRyanWood: Source on Harris: "He's on the team in one way, shape or form, we just don't know the designation." Injured reserve is one possibility.
Jayrone Elliott also made the team(judging by his tweet)
Little bit surprised they went with Harris over Neal/Crockett...mainly because his game is similar to Lacy's. Just figured they would have wanted a different look/skillset from their other backs. Dude can definitely truck people, though. He just won't catch any passes with those stone hands of his

Well now that's interesting. Perhaps some hope for Crockett, still
****.
@TomSilverstein: I have been told that the #Packers have released WR Jared Abbrederis. They will wait and see if he clears waivers. Then see about PS.
Rather have kept him over White but whatever. Hopefully he clears waivers and they can get him on the PS
Reports Abbrederis released

Not happy
From Silverstein
If the Packers can get him on the practice squad, they can continue working with him and get him in a position where they would be able to play him at some point this season. If they kept him on the roster, he would have been limited in how much he could play given the little bit of time he has had with QB Aaron Rodgers.
What I was thinking. I bet we'll see him on gameday sometime this season.
