I said it before last year, the biggest difference between the 2010 team and the current team is Nick Collins, Charlea Woodson, and Des Bishop. We seem to have found a legit Safety in HaHa and maybe found a replacement for that kind of "all over the field" DB position that Woodson played  (although you obviously can't fully replace a player like Woodson). If we can find a way to get our Des Bishop then this D will have it made! I don't want to put too much faith in a rookie, but I do think he's going to be a strong contributor immediately since there are other CBs and Safeteys established on the roster which will allow him to freelance a little more

I think you're spot on with your analysis. However, it should be noted that Bishop was a third year player before he really made much of an impact as a starter. Maybe Bradford can be that guy. I certainly hope so. If not, we sure will need another quick study at the position. I haven't seen enough of Barrington to say one way or another if he is that guy. Your thoughts?
I think Barrington is similar to Bishop and he's got the right mentality. I don't know if he looked good because the only comparison we had was Hawk/Jones or because he was actually doing the good things. Barrington is a thumper though, he will always be strong against the run. People may be worried about Barrington or a rookie's limitations in coverage, but can they be worse than Hawk/Jones in coverage? We may still end up with ILB coverage being a weakness, but I'm confident Barrington and a rookie will improve the run D greatly.

Rodgers is right, it is a complete train wreck with "experts" out there telling these college kids where they'll be drafted, creating unrealistic expectations.  That, and the media reports and scrutiny on 20 year old kids is crazy.

I'd be pretty stoked if TT got Gregory in the second.  He's a big question mark due to size, coachability and marijuana use, but the upside is huge at a position of important and need.
