Unless I'm mistaken there's no catch all thread for offseason/regular season personnel moves yet. So here goes.

Colts cut LaRon Landry today.

Plus this gem of a signing, rendered moot now:

@RapSheet: The #Bucs have released QB Josh McCown, they announced. Saves more than $4M in salary cap space.

@AdamSchefter: Well, if there were any questions about the Buccaneers using the No. 1 overall pick on a QB, there are none now.

@AlbertBreer: Also set to hit the open market are 2011 draft washouts Christian Ponder, Jake Locker and Blaine Gabbert.

What's the over/under on how many of these guys a poster will suggest "bring them into camp", "kick the tires", and/or "sign 'em to a vet minimum contract", or any combination thereof?

eleventy billion.

" I've heard of him, so he must be good"

Something I noticed about McCarthy's offseason programs, he has a great  QB camp, He can turn average QB in to Great ones.  The Packers should sign that Vikings QB Ponder and put him into McCarthy's camp.  Boy the Vikings would be mad when they have to trade several first round picks to get him back.

and you're just the idiot for the job. Kudos

A couple weeks ago I tried to find some cap casualties that Thompson might be interested in.  The only one I could come up with was Saints linebacker David Hawthorne.  Hawthorne isn't a great talent or a great player.  An undrafted guy who has been around for awhile and keeps finding his way into the starting lineup year after year.  He played inside linebacker in a 3-4 last year and was productive.  The Saints have cap problems and he's been identified as a likely cut.  He should fit what Thompson would like to do budget-wise.  Inside linebacker would remain a priority in the draft but it would give Thompson some flexibility on draft day (maybe allow him to pass on a linebacker in round one and take a NG or OT that he may like better than any of the LBs in this draft, and then pick up an ILB in the second or third round)...and having Hawthrone, draft pick, Barrington would also give him additional flexibility on where Matthews can play.

Ahtyba Rubin, Jabaal Sheard, Tyson Alualu, Darrelle Revis, Akeem Ayers, David Harris, Brandon Graham, O'Brien Schofield, Lance Kendricks and maybe Niles Paul are all likely mid-tier guys (sans Revis) who could be nice additions.

Greg Jennings currently too expensive for Vikings

The Vikings likely will ask wideout Greg Jennings to renegotiate his contract, which is set to pay him $8.9 million each of the next three seasons, reports ESPN.com. Jennings, 31, carries an $11 million cap hit this year.

Jennings caught 59 passes for 742 yards and six touchdowns last season.

Jennings is still a good receiver, but we all saw this coming the minute he signed with the Vikings. He was greedy, and he wound up going from one of the better WRs in the league to a complete non-entity.

We all knew it was a 2 year deal.

He might be ok in Philly or New England. I could see the Niners taking a chance on him too. Possibly the Raiders, Seahawks, Rams too.

Lotsa suitors out there. It only takes 1.

Other players released this past week:

In addition to the release of LaRon Landry, the Colts waived LB Andrew Jackson and OT Xavier Nixon.

The NY football Giants released RB David Wilson.

The Colts released OL Paul McQuistan.

And the Jets declined the option on RB Chris Johnson.

Colts ILB Andrew Jackson had reportedly been arrested for DUI and reckless driving last month.

Update: Xavier Nixon was claimed off waivers by Washington.
