It's just you.

nothing against the picks themselves, like Spriggs, love Fackrell, I just still have the nagging feeling TT missed the opportunity to trade back and still get a quality DT prospect, probably still Clark if the Denver trade happens.

Funny how the "BPA" lines up perfectly with need.

Not a major complaint or anything, but not perfect either. Still a quality outing thus far.

maybe it's just me but Ted is kicking this draft's ass. superb thus far.

No...it's not just you.

TT maximized draft position with what he had. Got the best players on his board. Stole one of the better OT's from the Bears.

Yeah he's doing great as usual. However....

The Titans are building a nice team. Conklin, Derrick Henry, Austin Johnson & Kevin Dodds.

Oh BTW. ...the Ravens have Ronnie Stanley, Kamalei Correa & 5....yes FIVE picks in round 4. Ozzie is doing great too.

Nawrocki had Spriggs #22 & Fackrell #67. Mayock had Spriggs & Clark #36 & #39 respectively in his top 100. (No Fackrell)

GB needed a disruptive body in the middle to push the pocket into the QBs lap. That's Clark. Of the picks so far I think he's the best. Fackrell is a situational pass rusher this year and the long term replacement for Peppers. He absolutely fits Doms prototypical 3-4 OLB and he's got no issues dropping into coverage if needed. Of the first three picks he's the guy the draft heads are almost unanimous on being a very good pick at the bottom of round 3.

The pick I love is Spriggs. For two reasons. He instantly calms the depth concerns at T for 2016. Bak and Bulaga are starting. But if anything happens Spriggs can slide in and handle things. Long term he's the best LT since Clifton. Bak has given every last ounce of everything he's got and that should be recognized. But he's nowhere close to the athlete Spriggs is. I think Spriggs is the fastest OL in this draft. And he's only 21. Not a reach to say he's protecting Aarons back for the rest of his career.

Jeez....you going to give him a chance? Or just throw the bust label on him now?

No, I just said it irks me. He's a really smart guy, has pretty good size, can move a bit... But the defense has lacked an ass kicker in that middle LB group since Bishop blew out his hamstring, and I am not sure Fackrell is that guy. He plays outside- sure, it's a need, but the MLB position to me is more of a need. I don't think they have Fackrell slotted inside.

Maybe that guy is still available today. They need an ass kicker...

MC. I think your short siding the reason they got Clark. The more attention the interior OL has to give a disruptor like Clark it makes life easier for the next level. It's possible to improve two positions with one pick. Always build inside out.

Clark saw plenty of double teams as a Jr and still finished with far more total tackles than Robinson, Reed, Billings, Butler, or Bullard did last year. And that was after losing Vanderdoes early in the season. He's got the potential to be a special player.

You still need to stop the run in today's NFL and we didn't do a good job of that last year.  Clark was drafted to help that more than to help the pass rush. However he was probably the best run/pass DL on the board at 27 if not overall.  QBs stepped up in the pocket a lot last year vs our D and Clark can help there too.  He doesn't need sacks, just push up the C.

In a 34 it doesn't matter who is at ILB if your DL can't eat blocks.

Maybe Edie should play DL.

If for any reason you're thinking TT should try to trade up today:

He doesn't have much to offer. The Packers have two fourth round picks that can not be traded because they are compensatory selections. He has a fifth and a sixth. So he can really only move up a few spots in the fifth. That's it.

Can we please dispense with the live remotes, the Bud Lite contest winner presenters and just do the picks so that this thing dones't drag on forever?    And then we had that pathetic and very awkward interview with the OSU wide receiver which (along with a commercial break) meant that the NFL network did absolutely no coverage of our 3rd pick (the Utah State linebacker.)

Sheesh.

When he traded the 4th and 7th yesterday to move up I saw two things:

a - he got someone he really wanted and probably had a 1st round grade on him

2 - he expects to find lots of talent available in the UDFA pool, like he usually does

The NFL Network is brutal. ESPN is far from perfect, but it is 10 times better than than the NFLFU Network.

I lasted about 10 picks with NFL Network on Friday. Every analyst on there was straight out of the Tim and Eric school of broadcasting.
