PIT already has 6 SB
I think the worst part going forward is getting invited to SB parties. I stop watching NFL when the Packers are done. Don't care.
Grave Digger posted:BrainDed posted:Grave Digger posted:You want them to score 50?
Yes. I want Dom to retire out of embarrassment. It's the only way we will move on.
You should retire from X4 out of embarrassment for this comment.
How many years will you defend the D? When Rodgers retires as the best QB statically to ever play and has one SB appearance you will still have some sort of lame defense?
packaddict posted:No way I see Atlanta beating a team with a healthy defense. Sorry but this GB defense needs an overhaul starting with coaching staff.
One starter out for this game.. ONE!
I would like to have one year when both sides of the ball are dominant. We would be unstoppable.

Like I said...no more please.

Pittsburgh already has 6.

OK one more year

Hard to even remember what it was like to have the #1 rated D in the league. Man, it almost seems like that was 21 years ago....oh wait...never mind!

I'll root for the Falcons over either Steelers or Pats.
It was a really fun ride while it lasted, but it ended too soon.
Would have taken a complete game from this team playing short-handed, but that is not what the Packers gave us today. Too many missed opportunities on both sides of the ball. But regardless, Atlanta was the better team today. Congrats to them, they played at a championship level and deserve the trip to the Super Bowl.

No.
That wasn't the point.
Dom Capers sucks.
Brady will get his fifth, or Roethlisberger his third, that is how I see it.
And 25 years of Favre and Rodgers we have two, and three appearances. And some will look back on this only when things aren't going well with QB's, and realize the wasted opportunities.
packmon posted:the universe is 14 billion years old. keep some perspective.
I thought it was only 6 thousand years old.
I know it's early to ask this, but which players do you NOT want to see on the 2017 Packers?
My Picks:
Offense: Barclay, Christine Michaels, Janis (or does he have enough ST value to keep? If so, can he be a productive KR?), James Starks (thanks, but it's time to move on)
Linsley possibly if he can't be more reliable with his shotgun snaps over the last 2 weeks. Hopefully he can fix it and be back; if not, Tretter can take over.
Defense: Randall and Rollins, Demetri Goodson, Datone -- he's been given multiple chances, but isn't any more consistent (unlike Perry, who really stepped up this year).
ClayMaker IF he just needs time for a medical procedure and rehab to get his game back. But for the last half of the season he was practically a decoy out there and did nothing.
Coaching Staff: Dom Capers & whoever' s the Strength and Conditioning coach
Game has passed dom by. BB had him in the right role years ago.
Greene bailed him out when he was lb coach. Greene brought the energy. You have a group of young guys, they need that.

Over the last 16 years. 14 Super Bowls have been played by Ben, Tom, or Payton. Over that same time 13 different NFC teams have gone to the Super Bowl.
It's just easier to get to a SB in the AFC. Surprised they haven't won more of them.
Alright, here it is...minus the QB's, don't pick the Packers FA's, who would you sign as an URFA??

Thena again, Ben, Tom and Peyton are/were pretty freaking good, good enough to be in the running most years, it's hard when you consistently draft at the end of rounds and have injuries to key players. It's hard to win in the NFL.
Sign whomever costs the most money just so the ding dongs can boast that TT is signing big name free agents.
If the Jets cut Revis I would consider signing him to play safety, and to be that veteran presence in the deep patrol.

They were in the running against each other. And traded trips to the SB. For 16 years.

Disagree.
Go ahead and sign him. What are you waiting for? TT will sign someone who doesn't cost a gillion dollars.

And 25 years of Favre and Rodgers we have two, and three appearances. And some will look back on this only when things aren't going well with QB's, and realize the wasted opportunities.
Over the last 16 years. 14 Super Bowls have been played by Ben, Tom, or Payton. Over that same time 13 different NFC teams have gone to the Super Bowl.
It's just easier to get to a SB in the AFC. Surprised they haven't won more of them.
One could argue it's harder in the AFC because you have / had those 3 QB's. In the NFC it's just Rodgers.
Pay AJ Bouye, Mario Addison, and JPP whatever they want...defense, fixed.

Yes. I want Dom to retire out of embarrassment. It's the only way we will move on.
You should retire from X4 out of embarrassment for this comment.
How many years will you defend the D? When Rodgers retires as the best QB statically to ever play and has one SB appearance you will still have some sort of lame defense?
I'll defend my team always. I don't act like a baby when they aren't perfect. Criticizing isn't acting like a baby, hoping your opponent beats "your" team by more points is garbage. Take that to the Packer equivalent of rubechat.

One could argue that. But you'd have to be brain dead to go that route.

At this point I'd settle for adequate on defense. They are capable of looking decent for 3 or 4 series in a row (not today) and then just collapsing. They came close to getting beat by Matt Barkley in Chicago because of the defense in the 4th quarter.

What do you do with Clinton-Dix and Burnett?
If GB were to sign him I'd put Revis outside. He's not done yet.

Agreed. 50% of prime Revis is exponentially better than what we lined up at CB on Sunday
That's not what I posted/meant. 50% of prime Revis should not be outside, and maybe not on the field.
The absolute worst part of Rips fumble, and subsequent 80 yard drive (that should have started on the one yard line but whatever) is that it effectively put 100% of the game on Aaron. Rip holds that ball and the running game is in play. And I think GB could run on Atlanta.
Maybe none of that matters once the roster started losing a player every third snap.
If Dom retires tomorrow this season is a slightly better success than it already was.
And the thought of Dallas fans hating Ginger a little more this week isn't terrible.
