Isaiah McDuffie LB, BC

Height: 6-1, Weight: 224

Short-area quickness is impressive. Range and hitting skill too. Reliable tackler and brings it as a blitzer. Has the athletic traits to become a good coverage linebacker. Green Bay had to add to its LB room.

Assuming Trey Smith, teams are terrified of the blood clots?? I guess?

If Gute can steal Dylan Moses on a flyer in rd 7, he can call it a weekend. We should all buy him a shot, for inspite of what our prima donna QB thinks, Gute has had a hell of a weekend

Pretty sure the face of the franchise is at the Derby and not giving a shit.

He could be a good backup guard, which is all you can hope for at the end of the draft. We have a stockpile of interior lineman now.

Mark Tauscher would like a word with you.

I LOVE that they interviewed him. I LOVE his nametag, it's all very LOVEly on a Kentucky Derby Saturday.

I like a lot of what the Lions did.

  • Round 1: No. 7 – Penei Sewell, OT, Oregon
  • Round 2: No. 41 – Levi Onwuzurike, DT, Washington
  • Round 3: No. 72 – Alim McNeill, DT, NC State
  • Round 3: No. 101 (from LAR) – Ifeatu Melifonwu, CB, Syracuse
  • Round 4: No. 112 – Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, USC
  • Round 4: No. 113 (from CAR through CLE) – Derrick Barnes, LB, Purdue
  • Round 7: No. 257 (from BUF through CLE) – Jermar Jefferson, RB, Oregon State

Overall, I'll say it was a pretty good draft by the Packers.
If some of these guys will just pan out....

OL and RB are probably our deepest positions on offense.
We should be good at TE/WR, barring injury.
I'd guess we still need a 3rd QB.

Still need help at DL and LB on defense.
CB/S is pretty deep for the moment. They are likely to be the strength of the defense (again).

Wish list from UDFAs:

Kuony Deng LB California

Amari Gainer LB Florida State

Trill Williams DB Syracuse

Marvin Wilson DT Florida State

Tariq Thompson S San Diego State

Hamilcar Rached Jr Edge Oregon State (if for name only)

Forrest Merrill DT AR State

Jamar Watson Edge Kentucky

Charles Snowden Edge Virginia

Olaijah Griffin CB USC

There aren't many DTs who weren't drafted, and not that many were drafted. Might have to cough up a few dollars as a signing bonus for them.

So what.  Lions are always drafting in the top 10 every year and they still suck. Why will this draft be any different?

Uphoff is intriguing. Condensed scouting report. Tall physical plus athlete at S that hasn’t figured out how to play football. Projected as a 5th rounder.

Seems like there’s a lot to work with though. Good project for the coaches.

Gutenhootchie really showed he' not ready for the big chair this weekend. He signed an accounting intern. Maybe he's an "Emotional Support Bro" for Opie. His name is Bailey Gaither, fer cripesake. That's the frat treasurer not a football player.
