So weird to see reporters actually mingling with the team again. But hey, it looks good!

Btw, who's the fatty in the yellow t-shirt? I almost thought McVince was back.

That would've been McVince after a couple of months on Nutrisystem.

Probably an assistant equipment guy, the tall guy in front of him is coaching intern Ruvell Martin

Not surprised.
Blair is all hair no feet.

But what's that big crane doing to the stadium?
Whoâs the fatty? Pretty much half the residents in NE Wisconsin
McVincey Fatterton looks svelte around here compared to some people. Or as Rodney Dangerfield once said about the big and tall types- âif you want to look thin, you hang out with fat people!â
Well they would be fools to let him go now.
Jaguars with a draft board reveal party
I was giggling like a school girl at Waddleâs draft day highlights. Incredible player. Looked like a super hero.

Very cool post on what colleges have NFL Draft picks that tend to over or underperform compared to where they were selected. Wisconsin and Mississippi State lead the way. https://t.co/8LMwNJueB6 pic.twitter.com/UTnKLPl59b

Juwann Winfree Player Bio: 6-1, 210
As a third-team all-state defender and big-play receiver from New Jersey, Winfree initially signed with the University of Maryland to play football. He played in eight games for the Terps as a reserve his true freshman season (11-158-14.4, one TD). He was suspended for the final two games of that season, however, and the suspension became indefinite when he again violated the school's conduct code. It was reported that he would transfer to Pitt but he instead attended Coffeyville Community College. Winfree was an honorable mention all-conference selection there in 2015 (55-937-15.2, seven TD). Colorado took a chance on him in 2016 but a torn ACL in August sidelined him for the season. Winfree returned to play in all 12 games (one start) in 2017, catching 21 passes for 325 yards (15.5 average) and two scores. Injuries sidelined him for four games in 2018, though he started 6 of 8 games played (28-324-11.6, two TDs) when healthy.

A valid strategy if Rodgers actually wanted to sit out a season when he might only have 4 or 5 years left to play. Highly doubt he takes this route. You either play or continue to try to force a trade.

We'd have to see more details, but if he does this he'll lose out on 15 million in base salary that he never gets back. That's an unanticipated 15 million that can be used to help extend Jaire Alexander or D. Adams.
It's also not clear if it just essentially cancels a year in his contract or if it pushes team control back for another year.
If he's going to sit anyway, doing this would be a huge positive for the Packers. They get 15 million back and they aren't forced to go through the PR nightmare of fining him or going after his prorated signing bonus (which the Packers have already paid out anyway). There is also no chance of injury and the Packers can still trade him next offseason for the same as they'd probably get now.
Right, he would not get paid for 2021 since he wouldn't be playing. His 2021 salary would forward to 2022 the same way Funchess' contract slid from 2020 to 2021.
I don't think the money is a factor here for Rodgers but sitting out an entire season when you are in the twilight of your career would be the deciding factor. How many years do you have left to play at an elite level? Do you want to throw one of them away? I doubt it unless he's changed his mind on wanting to play to 40 and beyond.
Yup, time is more valuable than money to Rodgers career right now.
Or maybe not. https://profootballtalk.nbcspo...ver-bullet-for-2021/
Has anyone considered he might do this https://profootballtalk.nbcspo...ver-bullet-for-2021/
You both might be on to something but consider this:
I've read your link 4 times PH, I just think the scenarios above are more likely
That is interesting. If the Packers are dug in and won't trade him this year and Rodgers is dug in and won't place for the Packers in 2021, then I think this could happen. It allows Rodgers to sit out while allowing him to keep his money. So it makes sense. But sounds like Rodgers has to opt out soon and can't change his mind, so that'd be a very drastic step.
I think the Packers are ready to move on. They'd like him back and they've expressed that to Rodgers. But if that's not enough, they're ok letting him retire. The Packers existed before Rodgers and they'll exist after Rodgers. They can recoup $30m in cash and cap space which will be very valuable in building a team around Love. I really don't think they'll trade him and if they do, it'll be next year.
The guy ain't giving up the youngest remaining year of his career. Or another way, 1/3rd to 1/4th of the remainder of his career.
If he does, he really is an idot. I wonder what Joe Montana would do to get one more year of youth.
I think much depends on if he really has told Gutie and or Murph that he will not play for the Pack again. Thatâs never been clear to me. If he did thatâs a tough one to take back.
He is a complicated, stubborn fella so who knows.
But does Rodgers saying that lead to a trade? Or to his retirement? I'm leaning toward the latter as the pressure on the organization will be extremely high if Rodgers leaves and wins. If Rodgers retires, that pressure isn't quite as high. At least in my mind.
Plus, what is $30m in cash and cap room worth? Osweiler was traded with a 2nd rounder to get out of $17m (if I remember right), so $30m has to be worth at least a first. So sitting on Rodgers isn't simply getting "nothing". They get a lot of cap space to improve this team.
Denver sports radio is going nuts over this news, that Rodgers now has all the leverage and can now force a trade before next Friday. They're convinced Rodgers will be traded and if he's not, it's because the Packers are stupid. Gotta love local sports radio .
Packers lead the way in PFF's top 50 players. The Packers have a league high 4 players in the top 15.
