All the best TE are gone…Bellinger from San Diego St and Kolar from ISU are the last two I think worth a damn for our offense. Ruckert is shit as a weapon, more of a blocker.

Chig Okonkwo is an HB…better than Deguara IMO, but they won’t take him unless they have quit on Deguara.

Would love Calvin Austin but he’s too small for the Packers.

Shirley, you didn't expect him to last until our next pick.

I like Rhyan, but would have rather had Sanders. Gutekunst wanting to seem smarter than everyone by passing on the draft's strength seems to be a developing and disturbing trend.

Then again, they could have maneuvered for both if they hadn't pissed away two premium picks on a receiver with bad hands.

Maybe not popular, but Watson was the one receiver I was really hoping they wouldn't pick.

You really need to see if the Packers will hire you.

Bit harsh on Watson.

But Gute has cast his lot with the guy by trading two #2's and if it doesn't work out that could be the end of the Gute era. He is out on a ledge with this move.

The Packers are 39-10 the last three years. I don’t think one pick is going to doom our general manager. And, on the off chance  one pick DOES end up bringing him down, I’m fairly confident the Jordan Love pick is the far more egregious reach of the two,

Disagree. Here he traded two #2's, and at that to a division rival.

To my way of thinking he's out on a ledge with that particularly if Watson is a bust and the Vikings picks turn out good.

I'm an optimist or I wouldn't have survived as a Packers fan through the dreadful years and hope that Watson works out.

And I can't imagine how guys who watch college games, read some magazines seem to know more about players than scouts, personel guys, coaches and GMs who actually interview the players,  talk to college coaches,  and watch hours and hours of tape.  Plus the team guys actually talk among themselves about the players.  Gutey doesn't discount what everyone is telling him and just say the hell with it, I'm going my way.

There's a lot of stuff that's not hidden or hard to figure out. Most people paying attention can recognize obscene talent or traits and major, on-field issues. The interviews, background checks and medicals are pretty big pieces, though. Gutekunst is also prone to personal foibles like every other human. TT couldn't draft a decent corner for the team to save his life, but he was very good at finding receivers.

The Vikings were in desperate need of a corner and instead of drafting one they traded their picks to Detroit first, who drafted Williams, and then to GB who drafted Watson.  They literally gave their division rivals two WRs instead of drafting a corner to cover them.
