I've been watching Thanksgiving football most of my life. Unless I'm remembering incorrectly there's always been turkey for the winning team since Madden started the tradition.

This is the kind of s**t that will drive me nuts until we find answers. Was the production cutting corners to save money? Did that security guard take MLF running into him personally and make off with the turkey? Did the lawyers get involved worrying about food safety, or was there a Christmas Story situation involving a pack of dogs? It wouldn't be half as weird if they didn't have a bird in the booth.

I'll be sure to note to all the Lions fans I know that the game wasn't nearly as close as the score indicates. A really dominant performance from the Packers that I didn't see coming.

The Lions never really stopped the Packers, the Packers stopped themselves. Dillon botched a 4th down run and Doubs and Reed each dropped a 3rd passes that forced punts near midfield. What ended up being a 7 point game could have been 30.

The Lions will always be held back by their HC. Campbell coaches on emotion and even his players have to be questioning his in game decisions and losing confidence in him after yesterday.

There was a time when Campbell was successful with trick plays and unconventional decisions. After watching the fake punt yesterday it's safe to say he's lost the element of surprise that he once was able to take advantage of.

Almost every team is as good as their QB and the Packers are trending up and the Lions have probably plateaued at the position.

Yikes!!!!

As Green Bay Packers reporter Zach Jacobson of Heavy.com pointed out on social media, Aaron Rodgers and Jordan Love have essentially identical statistics through the first 11 games of their NFL careers.

“Aaron Rodgers had 2,599 passing yards and 21 total touchdowns through his first 11 games as the starter. Jordan Love has 2,599 passing yards and 21 total touchdowns through his first 11 games as the starter,” Jacobson said in a post on X, the social media website that was formerly known as Twitter.

Interesting comment I heard this morning on ESPN radio, forget which former player said it. Basically, Campbell is a meathead coach who is getting his players to compete every snap, but he has no response, adjustments, when things don't go according to his vision.

Packers punched them in the mouth early and DET never really responded.

I would think that was covered by Bisaccia in whatever preparations they could do in the short week. Time may have limited how long they could spend on it, but it was enough that they were prepared and aware.

Campbell has built his reputation (tendencies?) on being Mr. Macho Aggressive, making bold calls, blah, blah, blah. And there are still situations where that may work well for them. Now, with his team seemingly not playing well, maybe not as much.

In any case, what I thought strange in yesterday's game was the sheer number of times he made such calls. Sure, I understand when a team is behind late in a game, attempting 4th down conversions becomes necessary, but I would wait to get to that bridge before trying to cross it.

Even threw in a flea-flicker play for good measure!
