from the internet:

" I went back and listened to the chat with Ben Fennell a week before the draft when Andy asked him “who are your pound the table for players” and the first answer out of his mouth: Jayden Reed.

Note:

Ben Fennell is a film analyst and does breakdown work for CBS, NFL Network, the Eagles and others... but Ben is a Packer fan at heart.

If you listen to Herman's breakdown, it sounds like Reed is already pretty advanced at some of the finer aspects of the position.  Not elite RAS but elite skills that most WRs don't have coming out of college.  Sounds a little like Jennings as a rookie.

Just be patient. It takes some guys 2-3 years to develop.

They waited that long with Amari I expect nothing changes and they'll wait that long with Reed too.

We do what we do ...which is draft and DEVELOP. Don't forget that latter portion of the statement.

Spoke with Jayden Reeds high school coach.

He tells me Jayden is a great kid with great head on his shoulders.

Jayden's father died when he was a freshman in High School. He initially didn't care about school after that but then saw opportunity once western Michigan came calling. Needed good grades so he busted his ass and got a 4.0 GPA

Rest is history as he came to Michigan St.

Sidenote: Payton Thorne is now transferred to Auburn and is Jayden's best friend.

Wonder if Packers will draft him next year? 🤔

Oh oh....Jayden's agent under investigation.

Agent David Canter is reportedly under investigation for allegedly bribing NFL teams to pick his clients during last month's NFL Draft.

Canter allegedly contacted several teams and offered up his vacation properties if a team drafted a player he represents.

Herman's opinion after viewing the tape: if he's 6'1" he's the first WR drafted.

Who cares what Herman says..for real.

I like Reed in the slot. My one concern is his slight/thin frame. I hope Gizz is on him daily. I like my WRs just a tad thicker.

Watson and Romeo on the outside and Reed in the slot will be seen a lot this season. How those 3 connect with J-Love will be a huge factor in how successful this offense is this season.

I don't wanna hear how Jones and Dillon are going to carry the offense, so the Pack is ok with a mediocre WR room. No, those top 3 WRs have to be good to great to make this offense hum.

Stay tuned...

Who does he think these teams are? Supreme court justices?

There has been talk about how the Packers have found their new Punt Returner, in Reed. After watching the replay of the Penn State- MSU game, the other day, I'd say Keisean Nixon will be doing PRs. Reed fumbled twice, on two PRs. The last one was recovered by Penn State. I see Reed as a slot receiver for the Packers. Not so much on STs, as our PR.

So far it feels like he is having a better rookie season than Doubs or Watson.   Shit, best start to a rookie season for a wideout that I can remember in a long time.    I’m sure having a QB more willing to throw to rookies contributes, but the kid looks legit.

There was a bit the other day how the Packers were scheming Reed open like Miami does with Hill in the absence of Watson and defensive attention to Doubs in the first two games. Against the Saints it appears defenses were trying to adjust so Wicks, for example,  was the benefactor on the first-down catch as Lattimore faded back on Reed who was underneath his db.
