The two late round DL picks are getting good post draft love.
Solid picks so far. Let's see what how they progress, but it looks like Gute went into this draft with a plan and stuck to it.
@Pakrz posted:Having a top 5 pick next year would be crazy. Brock Bowers, Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr., Drake Maye, some stud OTs... Looks like some heavy hitters on the horizon.
I think Maye is a dud. Same inflated numbers from a spread offense that Trubisky and Sam Howell looked competent in. Product of the system similar to the old Texas tech system

Tough break for Kevin King.
Harrison Jr. is a stud. He will go VERY high.

I know King is mostly despised around here but I always thought he was so close to being a shutdown corner. He was fast, long arms, athletic but never quite put it all together. It was like he blinked at the wrong time or over thought about it. I also wish we would have given him a look-see at safety so we could spell Savage when we had the game rapped up.
King had a lot of injuries and now another.

One of those 68 was mine.
I've gotta say that I'm really impressed by this rookie class.
They all appear to be bright, intelligent young men, and don't seem to be overwhelmed by their environment.
They also seem to be high character, and none had any off-field issues, with the exception of UFDA Brenton Cox, Jr. However, in spite of his troubles, he did well academically, so maybe there's hope for him.
I did poorly academically and there's no hope for me. So you may be on to something.
Looks like Packers are projected to get three 2024 Comp Picks - a 5th and two 6ths. Niners are projected to get 5 more, while the Eagles and Rams get four each.

Are those our new white ends? Errr .... Tight ends?

King is hurt again? Damn that dude gets hurt getting out of bed in the morning.
I don't have a problem with King, and certainly don't wish injury on him.
But if he's that guy that used that 'wide circle' or 'wide loop' defensive technique, I don't have any use for him, especially for the Packers.
He needs to find another line of work.
I also have nothing against the guy but he is going to have a tough time signing somewhere with that injury history. I think the guy only played somewhere in the neighborhood of 50% of the time.
He's doomed (relatively speaking) to vet minimum contracts, with escalators tied to per game bonus, percentage of snaps, or similar incentives.
This may doom him to find a new profession. Good guy, minimal CB, wish him all the best.
Really enjoying this guy's videos. He's apparently a high school coach.
Hey where did all the writers for top 100 players finish this year?
Like McGinn is usually top 3.
Anyone see a list anywhere?
Isn’t some dude in Dallas normally pretty good too?

Thx @@PackerRick
That’s from 2013

You’re thinking of Rick Gosselin of the Dallas Morning News.

They say it takes 10 years to accurately grade a draft class.
By that metric, Hitler’s 1935 draft class was a bust.

Didn't see that. Hard to believe that comes up near the top of a search.
This is mock draft score that includes some writers and gives extra points so it's a little different than what Boris is looking for. https://www.thehuddlereport.com/mock.scores.shtml
LMFAO. I didn't even look at the date 😆🤦♂️
Obviously I didn't either.

To be fair, his 1928-1934 drafts were killer.
He wasn’t “drafted” but, he’s new for the team AND he’s from Ireland. ☘️
Daniel Whelan, a native of Ireland who was selected to the all-XFL team last week, has signed with the Green Bay Packers and will compete with veteran Pat O’Donnell.
In the XFL, Whelan ranked third in the league with a 45.6-yard average with 11 inside-the-20 kicks vs. two touchbacks. He led the eight-team league in hangtime. In one game vs. St. Louis, four of his five punts pinned the opponent inside the 20.
