This is a nightmare scenario. Machado can basically end it here and he's facing Jeffress who has really struggled this series.

Stop talking for a while. **** man.

It wasn't Machado, but I feel shitty about being right.

They've owned Jeffress.

Ball game.

Go to bed then,

Just go to bed and stop posting.

The Brewers have 12 outs to get 4 runs. The Dodgers don't have anyone as dominant as Hader, so it's possible.

I thought CC was absolutely right to use Hader when he did. I'd have let him pitch at least 1 more inning.

I have to question using Jeffress. He's been great all year and his story has been remarkable in terms of working to where he is today. It's just that the Dodgers have hammered him every game except yesterday.

You are a bitch.

Council was smart enough to get them to 7th game of the NLCS...

I'm not questioning him.

I love the fact he uses guys the way that advanced stats say he should. He's the same age as I am and this is his dream job. I hope he's the Brewers manager for the next 15 years.

He's more than smart enough - relying on Jeffress has been the issue.

Hey.

I'm not saying it's over...but if it is....we're a year or 3 earlier than anybody thought this re-build would get us here.

It's October-fukking 20th and we're watching Brewers baseball.

It's been a GREAT year.

Now make history!

Agree except relying on Jeffries may not be that smart.

Jeffress in the NLCS has pitched 4 and 1/3 innings and given up 4 earned runs and allowed 5 of 6 inherited runners to score.

The Dodgers have scored 18 runs in the series and 9 of them have crossed the plate with Jeffress on the mound.

I say this in all seriousness. I hope Jeffress comes out of this OK. He's had a lot of problems in his life with drugs of abuse. He seems like a great guy who has overcome a lot in his life, but this has to  be excruciating for him to go through.

I hope people remember these guys are human beings and not robots.

That catch to end the 5th was a freaking game changing killer

It definitely drained the ballpark of energy, but if the Dodgers win this game, two overlooked plays are

1. Machado bunting for a base hit to eventually score on Bellinger's home run.

2. Bellinger beating out the possible double play that eventually lead to him scoring on Puig's HR.

It really is the little things sometimes.

I love CC, but it will be interesting to see why he decided to go to Jeffress before Knebel in the 6th. CC seems classy in interviews and willing to answer those types of questions, so he'll probably answer it.

If you were fine with using Hader to stay in the game in the 3rd, why not use Knebel in the 6th? Unless he was planning on saving Knebel to close?
