I watched most of the Bears game last Sunday and Justin Fields impressed me only when he got outside and extended plays. If the OLBs crash hard going for a big sack he will roll outside and buy himself an extra 5 seconds. Set the edge and keep it, the Bears don't have a Justin Jefferson.

I agree that this one even though its only the 2nd  game does feel like a must win.  Of course there would still be 15 games left but getting in a 0-2 hole in the division right off the bat is not good.

Like I said last week I don't care if the Packers win 69-0 or 2-0 just win the damn game.

Also, is this the week Bak comes back ever for part of the game?

Next game at the Bucs. They better win Sunday night or they'll be staring 0-3 in the face.

Not only do you not want to lose to CHI at home, and go 0-2 in the division.   TB is up next and you really don't want to start 0-3 in the conference.

This is as must-win as a WK02 game can be.

Someone posted on Twitter that going back like 3 years, teams starting out 0-2 have ALL missed the playoffs.

Mostly good new except for this.  I don't like that he still has to rest his knee at this point.  That may indicate it's still bothering him.

Oh yeah, so fun to trot out a shit lineup and watch AR run all over the place.  Hope it's less fun this week.

Make it make sense:

Per Ryan Wood:
To recap: Joe Barry believes he has 3 CBs who can play man coverage at high level, his zone coverage had several breakdowns that led to one of NFL's best WRs torching #Packers for almost 200 yards, but dammit he believes in zone.

He might have a different plan next time, though

Funny but when you're getting your ass handed to you maybe zone isn't working and adjustments need to be made.

My gut tells me Bakh is done...

What? He’s just strutting his stuff. That’s not a limp.

I was as pessimistic as I could be guessing about Walker's and Nixon's shoulder injuries, and was proven wrong (apparently) in just a matter of days.
I'll do the same for Bak, and hope for the same result!

I think the Packers are trying to find a way to get him back on the field, but I suspect he is still having a fluid build-up or swelling problem. The only way he may be able to play at this point is to do walk-throughs on Wednesday, practice Friday, play Sunday.

He doesn't "have to". This is the teams plan and it's long term. LaFluer said he's going to be on a long term 2 on 1 off plan. Pretty much the Mercedes Lewis schedule.

How many catches and yards did Jefferson have in the second half? If I’m not mistaken, it was a pretty low number of yards (less than 40 on 3 catches.) Maybe the defense did make adjustments at halftime and secondary minimized blown coverages.

BTW - Vikes had two FGs in second half.

JJ had 3 catches for 26 yards and an OPI in the 2nd half.

To be clear, I'm referring to Lambeau Field as Mecca. No need to update me on the game.

Kind of figured that one. Was having fun with the semantics. Hope you have a good time at the game!

Being at the game you could see that the defense definitively tightened things up at half time. WAY more aggressive and the safeties started doing their job to make sure Jefferson didn't run wild.

If only there was such a thing as 1st half adjustments.

#Packers coach Matt LaFleur says David Bakhtiari will go through some team reps today. We'll have to wait for the injury report later this afternoon to know his status.

Same for Allen Lazard and Elgton Jenkins.

Hindsight is always 20/20… but signing an aging LT to a huge contract has turned out to be a bad idea.

Pete Dougherty out with a column today (paywall) about what a financial disaster the contract has been for the Packers. The team has paid him about $54 million dollars so far and gotten about 6.5 games out of him and he thinks he gone after this year.

We'll take what we can get, but it's going to be his x% versus someone else's 100% and then playing the better option.  Sucks though since this might be permanent.
