Don’t forget TJ Slaton. He’s at NT and KFC is at DE along with Wyatt. This group plus the two rookies Brooks and Wooden could be the best GB has had in years.

This! We are stronger up front.

Musgrave is going to be a match up nightmare for D's once he gets everything figured out. You can already see that he has a knack for finding open spaces.

Don't know if someone put it in a thread already, but apparently he also cramped up on that off schedule deep pass by 10.

Devonte Wyatt, Romeo Doubs, Zach Tom, Jaylon Reed, Lucas Van Ness, Luke Musgrave, Anders Carlson and Daniel Wehlan.
All second year and rookie performers with big contributions today.
Kudos to them, and Gutey and the scouting staff as well.

Tom was excellent. He's just a path-paver out there.
As to all the hammies, I really think the strength and conditioning guys need to consult with the US Track & Field team to learn how condition and keep the players from pulling muscles. How do they keep their athletes from pulling hammies? At this point, MLF should be ready to try anything.

It's the next pandemic.

Does anyone else remember the rash of soft tissue injuries this team had for what seemed like a spell of several years?  Lots of prognosticators, yoga, stretching, change of diet, more physical practices, etc.  I think they even brought in new consultants and a nutritionist.

Was that during Favre?

Lack of electrolytes can cause issues

im ecstatic how today went, I thought QB, offense, ST, defense were all better than I set expectations for. I do think AJ Dillon is underwhelming. Great guy, great nickname. The difference between Jones and Dillon is massive. For his size, Dillon doesnt punish and pound the way youd hope. He definitely doesnt see and find holes the way Jones does. Id like to see less Dillon and more Taylor/Wilson.

13 carries for 19 yards for Dillon. eesh. about his career average  too

Doubs could be a star. I kinds forgot about him 2nd half of last year when Watson emerges and all the talk around TE and new WRs. dude runs precise routs and has great hands. I hope Love throws his way more going forward

Positives:

At times, all the inexperience for QB and WR/TE corps showed.  But wow, everyone got better as the game wore on and you could see that despite the youth and inexperience, there is real potential and talent with these guys.

Aaron Jones sort of singlehandedly carried the offense until everyone else began to feel more comfortable.

Joe Barry’s defense actually was pretty good today.  Hey, pretty good is way better than many of the disasters we had last year.

Negatives:

Only negative is that this only counts for 1 win even though it kind of felt like 3 wins in one.  You won the season opener and you beat the Bears badly in front of their home crowd which made this feel extra special.

670 in Chicago talking about the game. Interesting take here about how the Bears played zone all game and Love was carving them up with it, and when they finally switched to man coverage is when Wicks had the false start, which then put the Packers in a 3rd and long and the Bears when back to zone and never tried man again.

Not saying the Bears would have played better in man but Wicks having the false start in some ways actually helped the Packers.

++++ Jordan Love silenced a lot of doubters, today. Doubs is special. Aaron Jones is amazing. Toure got to play and had a nice catch. Luke Musgrave was wide open on the leak play and made the catch. Jayden Reed is the steal of the draft. Our OL played well. Our DL was disruptive. Loved seeing Gary out there. Van Ness turned on the jets and sacked Fields. Wyatt is a beast. Brooks got a sack. Jaire's coverage of Moore was tight. Moore only had two looks and gained only 25 yards. Wooden deflected a pass. Savage had a good game. Quay Walker playing human pinball for a pick 6. This team has a bright future! GO PACK, GO!!

-----Injuries suck. Do we have a conditioning or maybe a hydration problem? Too many penalties. Some were really unnecessary. Watson didn't get to play.

Lots to improve on, but man, do I love this team!

+ The interior D-Line collapsed the pocket play after play after play.  Fileds really never had a chance to step up from the edge rushers.

++ The Packers got the ball to close the half and put points on the board. Then they got the 2nd half KO and drove the field for a TD. When was the last time that happened??? It seemed like it happened all the time with Favre, and just as much with AR early in his tenure.  Back-to-back scores was yooge!!!

- Hated the personal fouls/15 yard penalties. I believe there was four of them. Silver lining maybe being they were playing a little more chippy/aggressive instead of the softy pushover team we've seen in the past.

-- AJ Dillon needs to be better. He just seems slow getting the handoff and hitting the line/hole.

+ Special Teams is no longer a liability. Good returns , no fumbles. Good coverage. Reed on punt returns looking solid so far. Carlson drills a 52 yarder dead center with plenty of leg. No missed PAT's.

+ Quay Walker just standing there looking at Fields and then jumping on that pass for a pick 6.

+ Aaron Jones was on right from the start. He was the difference maker for the offense.

+Jordan Love looked poised, focused, and ready to go. For his first career start you couldn't ask for much more. Congrats on win #1.

+ Good pressure from the Defense all game. Gary made an impact in his limited time in.

+ Scoring 38 points is good no matter who you play in this league. To do it week one with such a young team is impressive.

Without WR1

- Turf Monster got Musgrave

He ran step for step with Fields. It made me laugh because Fields looked like he thought he'd run right by VanNess - Oh Shit that white boy can run! 😱😆

- What happened to Heath? Saving him for week #2?!

- Did Patrick Stewart do anything?

- Why was Wilson inactive?

- Love has some overthrows like Musgrave down the seam and some deep balls. Things to work on.

- AJ Dillon.

In a game like this you need to search for negatives. So many good positives in this one including another victory over Duh Be@rz

- D did a pretty good job containing fields…in spite of some big runs and missed tackles, he didn’t hurt them with his feet.

- #33 is the plutonium in our Flux Capacitor…

- ANDERS FUCKING CARLSON!!!

- YOUNG DL/Pass Rush

- Love looked like a veteran

Neg

- Injuries to Quay, Reed and Jones

- 9 for 90 on penalties

Saw the Jones injury but missed the other two. Any early word on severity?

Reed had cramps and came in late to recover an onsides  kick attempt post injury. Walker was being evaluated for a concussion.

Great start to the season. Couldn’t have expected any better!!

I didn't hear any mention of Tom nor Bakhtiari all game long. So, I take it they did fine, on the field. Love was upright, most of the time, so that's a good thing.

Positives:

Beating the Bears never gets old

A NFC and divisional win

DEFENSE came to play.  I know its the sorry Bears offense but they showed up in a physical and intense force and it was a beautiful thing to see.  I also like how they contained Fields.

Offensive line played incredible and gave Love all the time in the world

Negatives:

Too many penalties

As everyone else has said what in the hell is up with the hamstring injuries?  Its only one game but  I worry about injuries.
