Don’t want Cousins anywhere near this team.

Any particular reason?

Asking for a friend.

To me, he’s basically a lateral move to Keenum.  And he’s got Dan Snyder’s stink in him. If the Vikings are bringing in a FA, it needs to be a bigger step up than that, not that I think there’s anybody out there.

Denver wants him and I head on the radio today that Elway also likes Keenum

They have the cap room to easily handle it if they want to.  He has went 13-3 this year and I don’t see any better options out there than him.

Case doesn’t seem like the type that is only in it for the money.  Are there better teams than the Vikings looking for a QB right now?  I don’t think so.

So it may just come down to taking a few dollars less, and staying in MN, or going for the money and ending up somewhere like Cleveland.

I still think that Keenum would be wise to follow Schurmer. Can he trust Zimmer to stick with him through a rough patch? Based on Zimms comments throughout the season, I would not be so sure.

Follow Shurmur to sit on the bench behind Eli?

If the Vikings want him, he can’t leave.  Period.

Plus, I think he knows he has a pretty good gig here and doesn’t have to carry a team.  It’s a perfect situation for him.

Sure, he carried them on the last drive.....partially because of his own doing. Horrible pick and a sack that he just can’t take to knock them out of FG range.  Add on to that a blocked punt and NO didn’t do a whole lot when not presented with a short field.

Nobody thinks Case is carrying this team but, he’s a nice compliment to the Defense that does.

I know nothing about the contract status of MNs defense but my guess is some of those guys are going to be looking for a nice pay raise when it comes time for a new contract. Even more so if they make it to the show and win. If so, does it make sense long term to tag Keenum next year knowing the D is likely going to be looking to get paid over the next few years or do you let Keenum walk and move forward with Bridgewater or someone else as your QB ?

I have no clue about MNs cap either but I guess if the cap is in good shape then tagging  Keenum might be worth the gamble. If the cap is a little on the tight side  then I'm letting Keenum walk and doing whatever I need to to keep that D intact.

I believe everybody on the D is signed through next year.  Terrance Newman will more than likely be done, and Bradford’s big number is sure to come down, or be renegotiated.  I think they have the room to keep everybody and take care of the QB position.

Since we’re in the thread......karma is a dish best served cold.  Can’t think of a HC that I dislike more.....

So what was Rodgers broken collarbone karma for?  Strapping on the belt every time he accomplishes something?

The tackle was clean.  It was legal.  And if Rodgers knew how to fall down, he wouldn’t have broken his collarbone.

Be better prepared next time.  It happened before, might happen again.

BS. Barr = cheap shot artist. Targeted the man who stood between them and playoffs....

Total made up BS. Rodgers hasnt done the belt sign in forever. Barr knew exactly what he was doing. Maybe it was legal but it was a cheap ass hit. Barr even said a few plays later his hit on Adams was just stupid. He is a dirty ass player and knew the Vikings chance of winning went up if he could take Rodgers out. He succeeded. Cheap Play, Cheap Player, Cheap organization.  Give him the defensive player of the year award. No other player changed the landscape of the NFC like the play that Barr did.

Tschmack posted:

Yeah right.  Barr launched himself into Rodgers and drove him into the turf.  Clean hit my ass.

You probably think the Thomas Davis hit on Davante Adams was "clean" as well.

Apples and oranges in regards to 'hits.'

Also, Packer fans need to 'flip the script' on this decide if C3TO did the same thing to an opposing QB that resulted in injury, would you then feel it was 'dirty,' a 'cheap shot,' etc. I highly, highly doubt it.

I will also add that Barr was not flagged, suspended or even fined for that hit and the NFL has no problem dishing out invoices.

If one wants to get mad about that game, I would focus your attention on the cheap crackback block some Viking receiver did on some Packer and the stupid Barr headbutt on some Packer after the play that wasn't called.

It wasnt a flag or fine a few years ago when the Detroit player drove AR head into the turf at Detroit and caused a concussion. But watch the Detroit player get up and shake his head like he knew exactly what he did to get AR out of the game. Barr may not have been fined but he knew what he was doing. Again, he is a cheap ass player that plays for a cheap ass organizaion that knew there best shot of beating the Packers was getting AR out of the game. Kudos that his game plan worked.

Of course he knew what he was doing.  He was giving a legal hit to a QB that has a propensity of scrambling out of the pocket.  It wasn’t dirty.  It wasn’t malicious (like Thomas Davis).  And there’s no way he thought...”Here goes his collarbone!!”

You want to talk dirty?  Nobody has anything on CM3.  Ask Kaepernick.  Ask Wilson.  Ask McCown.

If the collarbone didn’t break, you wouldn’t have given the tackle a second thought.

Barr has already admitted he is a stupid player. Just complete the description that he is a Stupid, dirty POS player. He knew he was doing what he could to take Rodgers out of the game. Vikings players whining about the cheap hit the WR from NO did on their other LB is priceless. Since there was no flag then it could not have been dirty right? Bunch of hypocrites.

It was on the safety.  There was a flag.  And Viking players have stated they didn’t think it was dirty.

Harrison Smith said if you’re going to afford WRs protection from those blindside hits, you should do the same for defensive players.

But again, he never said it was illegal.

The pic Pistol just uploaded shows at least six feet between Barr and AR after AR threw it.  He knew the pass was gone and still proceded to bury him in the turf. Yea right, clean hit. LMAO

A still shot of a world class athlete running at full speed.  Brilliant!  No comment on CM3?  He’s a dirty player, right?

So you are saying that he could not stop. Of course he could have. The still shot shows the ball is gone. He had plenty of time to process that and stop. he does it any other time when he is running at full speed.

Clay has definetely had his share of dirty hits. I hate anytime football players feel they have to put all their weight on someone they are driving through the turf. Football is violent enough without trying to purposely injure someone.

And save the tears bit. The Vikings organization and fans have been chasing the stability and success of the Packers for 25 years. Even your coach said when he was hired that they (the Packers) are what he wanted his team to get to. You have a chance this year. The stars have aligned, Barrs hit, Philly losing their QB,  and after Sundays amazing and ridiculous finish you have a good chance. lets see if you finish.
