The Packers got a couple calls go their way, and so did Seattle (not a single holding call the entire game on their OL???). That was generally even.

But again, this kind of game comes down to making the play- Rodgers made several throws that were the level we expect from the 2-time MVP. Adams was big time all game, making the biggest plays. Jimmy Graham was clutch. The O was unreal on 3rd down tonight.

But as good as the defense was at times, they left several out there. King dropped a pick. Several missed tackles of Wilson. Blown assignments containing Wilson. If the Packers are to play in the Super Bowl, the defense will need to come to play at an even higher level than tonight. Make it a grinder...

It's a stupid rule that needs to change. Technically they got it right, just like technically Dez didn't catch the ball (then).

There has to be a clear recovery before the scrum, not after. Who comes out of the pile with the ball isn't what they look for in this review (which is stupid). If that picture on the right was before the scrum, it's Packers ball.

Where the officials blew it was that they are instructed to consider the play a fumble if it is close because if they make a mistake it will be reviewed and overturned .... they called it no fumble at the conclusion of the play so they didn't rule on the field regarding possession.

+++ Rodgers throwing well when we needed him to. Adams catching everything and especially on that 3rd down play that extended our drive late in the game. Glacier Jimmy Graham made some key catches. Kenny Clark, playing injured was a force in the middle of our D Line. The Smiths pressuring and sacking the hard to catch Wilson. Kumerow making a nice ST tackle and got the crowd going. Veldheer, subbing for the ill Bulaga, did a nice job at RT. Jaire's blitz on the 2 point attempt. King and Lazard getting shaken up and coming back to play. Converting a lot of third downs to keep drives alive. Not letting the Wilson-late- in-the -game heroics happen. 14-3. Next stop, SF. I'm feeling good about that game.

Atta Girl!!!

Mine flies from the first day of training camp until the end of the Packers season.

My dipshit neighbor across the street (bears fan) put up his bears banner and flag yesterday. I walked outside as he was doing it and boo'ed him as I always do when I see him putting up that abomination.

The nice thing about this game is that other than the officials blowing the call on the 1st quarter fumble, it was a very clean and well played game. The thing that always drove me crazy about Dom's defenses was that there always seemed to be 3-4 plays a game where guys were running wide open in the secondary for huge plays. None of that yesterday. Every point the Hawks scored they earned through multiple tough 3rd down conversions and off-script plays. Every point the Packers scored they earned - great routes by Adams, pinpoint throws, great cuts by Jones.

The Packers won the game yesterday - the Seahawks didn't give it to him.

Lets take a second to give MLF some props for this win.

Early in the year, like first couple games early, we had some redzone issues.   Not today.  When we got inside the 5 he had the will and determination to continuously pound Jones to the left side.     There is no way MM does that and it probably leads to one of the Jones TD's being 3 points.

1st and goal inside the 5.   I don't think 3 runs behind Lewis, Bahk and Jenkins can be stopped.   MLF knows it.

LOL.  Wifey asked about turning off the Christmas lights outside.

No way, not until the Packers are done.

She rolled her eyes at me.

She doesn't get it...

Christmas lights stay on as long as the Packers are playing.

My wife used to not get it either but now she knows how superstitious I am.  I purposely talk negative constantly about the Packers leading up to games, I wear the same Packers shirt on Fridays during this winning streak, same shoes, sit in the same spot during the games, etc.  But, I did lose the the battle on the Christmas decorations.

- I got a sick feeling of deja vu after Russ's long run into Packer territory but after  Jaire slammed the door on the 2 pt conversion attempt I felt like this one could be different

+ Preston Smith sack after having to leave the game earlier due to injury was huge

- Troy Aikman  it really pained him to have to acknowledge
AR in this one. He was so enjoying the criticism

+ Lots of stuff to iron out but this Packer team has a soul.

This needs to be enshrined somehow in some way:

espn link to lynch

"It's a vulnerable time for a lot of these young dudes, you feel me?" Lynch said. "They don't be taking care of their chicken right, you feel me? If they was me or I had the opportunity, the opportunity to let them know something, I say, 'Take care of y'all money because that s--- don't last forever.' Now I've been on the other side of retirement, and it's good when [you] get over there and you can do what the f--- you want to, so I tell y'all right now while y'all in it: Take care of y'all bread so when you're all done, you go ahead and take care of yourself. So while y'all at it right now, take care of y'all bodies. Don't take care of y'all chicken, don't take care of y'all mentals, 'cause we ain't lasting that long.

"I had a couple players that I played with that they no longer here no more, they no longer -- so you feel me? Start taking care of y'all mental, y'all bodies and y'all chicken for when you're all ready to walk away, you walk away and be able to do what you want to do, but I appreciate it. Thank you all and have a good day."

Yep, both Cal guys. 12 really wanted TT to trade for him in 2010 when they were featuring Kuhn for a major part of the season. Starks ended up being the guy in the playoffs.

All TT had to do was give up and third and the running back position would have been solidified for years. However, since they won the bowl I have been told over and over that the non-move was a good one.

In live action I thought Graham had the 1st. Then on the initial reply I didn't think he made it. Then, after all angles were shown it looked like he made it.

As someone else pointed out the Fox Line was wrong by almost a full yard; even more important they had been giving a generous mark all night- does anyone else recall middle of the 1st qtr and even Joe Buck commented how the  Seahags got a super favorable spot on 3rd down.  SO Seahags STFU

I'm bleary eyed and stumbling, can't wait for next week!

Is that a Troy Aikman quote? Seriously, what was up with the bloodshot eyes? Guy looked like he got hammered last night.

He was a little teary eyed due to Jimmy Johnson's induction into the HoF.

Jimmy was thanking all the players & coaches etc.....I said he should be thanking the Vikings for the Herschel Walker trade. That was the thing that propelled them to three Super bowls.

We're going to find out on Sunday against the best defensive front in the game.

The Super Bowl will be easy if the Pack can get by SF.

It will be easier for the Packers offense. But if they play the Chiefs with Mahomes, they may have to score 40 to have a chance.

Wow, it was a magical night at Lambeau. My 2nd playoff game but this one ended with the right team on top! Fans did their job. Plenty of noise when needed. I think I sat for maybe 10 minutes the entire game. I ended up with a headache and very close to losing my voice but I didn't give a shit. Managed to keep my feet from freezing, too.

The coolest part was right as the game ended, almost on cue, snow started to fall.
