It's a stupid rule that needs to change. Technically they got it right, just like technically Dez didn't catch the ball (then).

There has to be a clear recovery before the scrum, not after. Who comes out of the pile with the ball isn't what they look for in this review (which is stupid). If that picture on the right was before the scrum, it's Packers ball.

Where the officials blew it was that they are instructed to consider the play a fumble if it is close because if they make a mistake it will be reviewed and overturned .... they called it no fumble at the conclusion of the play so they didn't rule on the field regarding possession.

Yea, there have been a lot of obvious non-fumbles this year they didnโ€™t blow dead and quickly overturned. Iโ€™m not sure why they blew this one dead so quick.

- I got a sick feeling of deja vu after Russ's long run into Packer territory but after  Jaire slammed the door on the 2 pt conversion attempt I felt like this one could be different

+ Preston Smith sack after having to leave the game earlier due to injury was huge

- Troy Aikman  it really pained him to have to acknowledge
AR in this one. He was so enjoying the criticism

+ Lots of stuff to iron out but this Packer team has a soul.

I don't get the Aikman hate.  I find him to be pretty fair and honest and, outside of Romo, the best analyst out there.

+++ Rodgers throwing well when we needed him to. Adams catching everything and especially on that 3rd down play that extended our drive late in the game. Glacier Jimmy Graham made some key catches. Kenny Clark, playing injured was a force in the middle of our D Line. The Smiths pressuring and sacking the hard to catch Wilson. Kumerow making a nice ST tackle and got the crowd going. Veldheer, subbing for the ill Bulaga, did a nice job at RT. Jaire's blitz on the 2 point attempt. King and Lazard getting shaken up and coming back to play. Converting a lot of third downs to keep drives alive. Not letting the Wilson-late- in-the -game heroics happen. 14-3. Next stop, SF. I'm feeling good about that game.

They didn't show the whole thing on the replay, but Clark's hustle twice on that one play to bring Wilson down was tremendous. Clark was gassed and still not quitting. Every once in a while a running QB like Russ will actually change direction and run back toward you. Clark's lack of quit was outstanding.

Plenty of Viking fans whining about the Graham play as well.

I think what most non Packer fans and even a few Packer fans were looking at was the yellow line.  But the line was probably 12 to 18 inches further down field than the actual line to gain.  I was texting a friend and even he thought it was short.  Don't ever trust that yellow line.

Didn't swifty Pereira even say the line to gain was the 36? When the actual on-field marker was shy of the 36? Did that serve to mislead millions of ppl?

+ Fucking great win

-Reading Number 3's Eeyore posts all during the game....Jesus....You are pathetic.

But why bother to mention it?  Why not just let it go?

Right?! Life's too short....it's just way too short.

Hell even @Timpranillo was negative in middle of 4th Q. It's an emotional game.

This year's Packers team has taken years off my life ...YEARS!!

Regarding number three...I consider the game thread to be like watching the game with a group of friends...those that express nothing but negative thoughts and โ€œwe suck and weโ€™re gonna loseโ€ sentiments get under my skin...why even watch?

Anyway, peace and love and I shall endeavor to not obsess about negativity ...I feel sorry for people who watch games with that attitude.

I feel like those rejecting the notion of referee bias fail to appreciate the lack of even 1 OL holding call,  Heck just one call usually kills a drive.

Guys on NFL radio had the average number of penalties per game of the teams that played this weekend compared with penalties called yesterday. Adding the teams average penalties per game you get 64. The total number of penalties called this weekend ? 39. At playoff time they let them play.

You will never be able to do it.

Positives:

Rodgers was amazing.  He's not going to put up the raw numbers he used in this offense but he's played great last night.

Clark and the Smith Bros. were studs!!  Tough to see Wilson avoid the pressures and run for 60+ yards but he does that to everyone.

Adams is a top 5 WR.  I remember being so down on him his sophomore year but he's among the best.

Gute: Picking up Veldheer as a damn good move.  Not sure they win without him yesterday.

Negatives:

Martinez.  It's time to move on.  He blew that 3rd and 6, spying Wilson for a bit then runs up the wrong lane, leaving Wilson to run for 20+ yards.  Just painful to watch b/c you know what's going to happen and he still did it.  I was a big fan in his first and second years but he's just not worth big money he'll probably demand in free agency.  He's the guy you draft and let play, then let walk before overpaying.
