Exactly. With the new salary structure for rookies, turning 30 in the NFL is a curse. You better be a good player or you are losing your job to a younger, cheaper player. The new CBA was supposed to give more money to vets and less to rookies. Well, that sort of happened but the bulk of that is going to the elite players and the franchise QB's. Even some that really aren't franchise QB's.

If the Niners are going to replace - let's go with a conservative number - 8 players, would you rather have 11 draft picks to try to find those players or 8 draft picks?

I'll take my chances with the 11 picks. What are the odds of hitting on 11 picks? Not very good. But I'd say hitting on 8 of 11 is way more likely than 8 of 8. Any what if you do hit on all 11? Oh no, we got too many good players?

If the Packers do not take Van Noy in the 2nd I would think they will go with a TE. One of the three in Amaro, Jenkins, or Niklas should be there. ILB Max Bulloch has been linked to the Packers but not sure if he is a 3rd or 4th round pick. Hopefully Abberderis is there in the 3rd with a take me sign on him for Ted.

Yep...sconnie people

Was arrested in March 2013 for DUI following a late-night car accident (blood-alcohol level was 0.18); pleaded guilty, paid a $695 fine and was sentenced to 364 days in jail,

Trade back the 2nd for another 3rd or 4th. Take Murphy with the 2nd.

ASJ has reportedly fallen off of many teams' boards because of his poor interviews. He should still be there in R3. Take him and an OT with the compensatory pick. Bullough in R4. There's all the major needs done.

Senior cornerback Hyde arrested

Iowa CB Micah Hyde

Micah Hyde, a senior cornerback for the Iowa Hawkeyes, was arrested Saturday morning for public intoxication and interference with official acts.

Hyde, a captain and three-year starter for Iowa, was among a group of people who wouldn't leave Old Capitol Brew Works around closing time early Saturday morning, according to the Iowa City Police Department report. Hyde was among a group of about 15 subjects fighting with the staff.

....

Police chased Hyde, 21, who was apprehended two blocks away. According to the report, Hyde had “bloodshot watery eyes and an odor of an alcoholic beverage” and showed six of six signs of impairment and refused a post-arrest breathalyzer.

Hyde said “he had drunk a vodka/Sprite, a shot and a Bud Light earlier in the night,” according to the report. He was then taken into custody and bonded out of the Johnson County Jail at around 11 a.m. Saturday morning.

I'd love to get Van Noy, but I don't think he will be there. I like Niklas better than the other 2 TE's (more upside), Matthews is my favorite receiver left, but could live with Latimer or Robinson.

Calling my shot - day 3!!

Telvin Smith

Max Bullough

De'Anthony Thomas

Thus adding the requisite LB thumper, hot nasty bad ass speed in the middle, and a return guy.

Gravy for picks 6 and 7.
