me too,  I don't get burning one of Mertz's  4 games for a possession,  anyway pretty obvious he has a big arm, and nice footwork in the pocket.  they are interviewing the coach now maybe he will say something.

If Mertz is as good as advertised, how long do they get to keep him? Even if he is willing to sit a year, do you get 2 years?

His field presence on the 1 series looked like a QB. Not something you usually see when watching Wisconsin Badgers football.

With Coan (finally) looking better...we have a good “problem” at qb.

Beating a really bad Central Michigan team doesn’t prove anything about Coan, sorry.  

The level of competition steps up considerably in two weeks when Michigan comes to town.  If Coan can put together a decent showing then maybe they do have a good problem on their hands.  

Michigan has feasted on mediocre Badgers QBs in recent history.  Not sure that’s going to change with Coan in there but if it does hey that’s excellent and maybe we pump the brakes on the Mertz hype train. 

One other thing - how good did Cephus look for the Badgers?  It’s easy to forget how well he played a couple of years ago and he’s a legit NFL caliber receiver.  His presence will automatically elevate the QB play.

You are correct, the CM coach said in a tweet on Sept 5,  "Look, Wisconsin has no idea what about to come. I feel really good about these guys and the preparation". Then later a defensive lineman said "They talk this big talk like Wisconsin this, Wisconsin that.  I'm like Chippewas this, Chippewas that. You know what I mean. We line up in practice the same way like they do. Lets go get this". So Chryst I think was like F.U. Here is 39 pass attempts and 400 yards passing and then he was like did  you see this coming??? I love PC attitude towards boastful teams like CM, and Miami with the turnover chain, and him caught on camera saying " Turnover chain my a$$."

If Coan can drop these dimes against top teams with pressure in his face, we’re in great shape. Mertz has already said he’s redshirting...

What dimes? The receivers made a lot of great catches.

From what I saw Coan wasn’t exactly dropping dimes.  More like lobbing pennies and the receivers made some nice catches.
