Anyone else find it interesting that PFF has put out grades from Sunday games, since they haven't had a chance to grade every player yet?

I know Lynch has run well vs GB in the past but I like their chances vs backs like him rather than shifty, elusive guys like Forte and Charles. Also, I doubt KC will fail to utilize their pass-catching TE like Seattle did
Glad the game is at home where the team plays on another level....gotta get up early because KC isn't built to come back with Smith never attempting to challenge teams downfield.

#Packers DT Josh Boyd has an MRI, but 1st diagnosis is not as bad as it seemed. He broke a small ankle bone, not expecting long-term absence
Welp so much for that. Pack seem to already be filling Boyd's spot with them signing ILB Joe Thomas.
Bad news after the MRI for #Packers DT Josh Boyd. It revealed torn ankle ligaments to go with a broken small bone. His season now in doubt

#Packers have signed ILB Joe Thomas to their 53-man roster, per league source. Adds depth to ILB position. Could replace Josh Boyd's spot.

That's because KC doesn't have any WRs.quote:Also, I doubt KC will fail to utilize their pass-catching TE like Seattle did
Justin Houston is very very good. You're all about to find out
Believe it or not, some of us have heard that. And by golly even seen him play as we're just getting them televisions up here.
Gotta slow down the KC pass rush. Those guys can bring it.
On the other side of the ball, Pack has to swarm to the hole before Charles gets up to speed. He's a home run hitter. Kelce is another guy that scares me, he'll be a bigger part of the game plan than what Graham seemed to be.
Screen passes. Please. to Lacy, Cobb, Montgomery, starks.

More clicks with negative grades?
Good lord. A QB that has the lateral mobility of a phone booth and has no feeling in his fingertips just shredded the Chiefs defense for 260 yards and 3 TD's. Oh yeah, Denver's RB's accounted for 1 reception for 2 yards and a total of 60 yards rushing. And the Chiefs still lost.
Think we're getting a little too frothed up over the Chiefs defense here. The AFC sucks.
Reference Boyd and Joe Thomas, seems to me Boyd was on the bubble anyhow due to Guion's return the game after next. He and Bruce Gaston were evidently lowest in the pecking order, and although Gaston was inactive last night, I see that as a Seahawks run game counter as Gaston is more an interior pass rush guy.
As for Thomas, besides rewarding a guy who has been in your program (which Ted and Mike like to do), someone at the JSO wrote this morning that Starks' in-game elevation required a lot of ST shuffling with Malumba picking up those tasks. So I see Thomas as more an ST move at this point, assuming he's ever active.
Had heard the same cuqui from local sports radio chatter here. With Guion back next week, would be hard pressed to have kept Boyd although I suppose someone like Bradford could have been axed.
Gaston played well at times in PS. Has more upside. And big bodies don't come easy.
I suppose someone like Bradford could have been axed
Not possible.
More signs that Joe Thomas will stick for a bit.
@TomSilverstein: Can confirm that the #Packers are signing ILB Joe Thomas off #Cowboys practice squad to their 53-man roster. He must be on 53 min of 3 weeks.
@TomSilverstein: Actually, Thomas is guaranteed three weeks of base salary from #Packers. Means they probably won't cut him when Letroy Guion returns.
Moves are official.
@ByRyanWood: It's official for #Packers DL Josh Boyd. He's been placed on injured reserve to open a roster spot for ILB Joe Thomas. GB now has four ILBs.
In a post this afternoon GBPG opined that Thomas may be the best cover ILB on the roster freeing up Matthews to play OLB in pass rush situations.

something strange going on there. they're also cancelling all membership subscriptions and forcing everyone to buy the ratings and stats week-to-week. bizarre.
I also noticed their ratings will change throughout the week. The grade they give for a player on Monday will be different by the end of the week. I'll post an example at some point if I can.
they've definitely lost me as an admirer.
McCarthy: We'll know more when we see Eddie Lacy moving around Thursday
Green Bay - The following is a summary of Packers coach Mike McCarthy's Monday evening press conference:
- (On Eddie Lacy) He was here today and here for treatment. Anytime you have ankle injuries, especially with perimeter players, you'll know more later in the week.
- (On 2013) Going back to Eddie's rookie year, speaks volumes for him to get through that. Medical staff did a great job. Every injury is different. Lot of credit to Eddie with his preparation.
- (On Davante Adams) Similar to the answer on Eddie. Feels better today.
- (On corrections) Not as good as it felt. That's what Week 2 is. We hit a lot of our targets, but we still have a lot of work to do. Penalties, pre-snap penalties. Contain on the quarterback, things in protection we can get better at. We'll see some of the schemes and techniques we saw last night when Kansas City came in.
- (On James Starks) He's a hell of a running back. Let's go back to his rookie year. He was a big part of our run to the Super Bowl. I have a lot of respect for James Starks.
- (On run defense) Our starts were night and day. B.J. Raji had an outstanding game. Probably his best as a Green Bay Packer. just the energy, getting off blocks. Playing home crowd was fantastic.
- (On if Ty Montgomery deserves more opportunities) His opportunities on special teams will increase as the season goes on, but definitely (he will). He did some good things.
- (On Joe Thomas) Good young football player. we got down there final day, young man we talked a lot about. Great to get him in the mix. Look at him as one of our guys. We're just trusting our board.
- (On Lacy lobbying to play) Eddie Lacy wants to play football. It's a medical decision. Process.
- (On whether it's similar to 2013) Can't say. I haven't seen him move yet.
- (On Cobb in backfield) You can't live with it. It's like a good changeup.
- (On Nate Palmer) Played better, played a lot better. Couple of good plays made on him in coverage, but I thought he played much better.
very excited about what I've seen from Raji. absolutely dominant so far.
Green Bay opens as a 7 pt favorite.
I expect them to cover.

It's not optimal, but thankfully there is some Micah Hyde screwin involved.
There appears to have been some backlash over the Micah Hyde rumors.
What rumor was that, Rusty?
They have never lost on the road to GB.
F the Chefs.
only loss Ive ever seen at Lambeau. OT to KC in 2003
Sat in the corner that Bwahoh Jue blew that long TD pass
Bert and Ahman had costly turnovers as we blew a big lead.
That and 2011. they need to pay
I was there too. It was awful to endure.
On a side note, the Chiefs fans around us were classy.
According to the draft experts in the NFL, the Chiefs have the better QB, so how can they lose?
Pack has to swarm to the hole before Charles gets up to speed.
or just make him fumble before or after.
the chefs front four are worrisome but that's why you game plan.

Rodgers will have that ball out so fast that they won't be a factor. This is going to be a big possession type game. Dink & Dunk. Wear KC out. I'll put our road graders up against theirs too. Pound that ball up the gut.
When I first saw the schedule this year I immediately worried about this game. The first thought was that the Packers are coming off of playing their biggest rival and then playing the Seahags in a revenge game. So my worry is the letdown game after an emotional win against Seattle. My other worry is that it seems like once a year on national TV this team lays an egg.
All that being said if they can keep the KC defense guessing and contain Charles I really like their chances in this one.
This team should never lose at Lambeau. To anyone.
It's a cultural change, and apparently God has moved from Seattle.
... God has moved from Seattle.
A guy can only take so much rain.
Green Bay averages29.53 inches of rain per year, Seattle 34. Throw in GB 51 inches of snow vs 0 in Seattle and I question his judgement.
Niners got nothing. Even if Kaapernick gets yards on us, that defense is missing too many parts.
Trap game? At Minnesota
... God has moved from Seattle.
A guy can only take so much rain.
And who takes the blame for said rain?
I'm honestly thinking we won't see a trap game this season. Too much riding on this. Plus, we've been here before, knowing where we stand, and what we need to do. Took KC lightly in 2011, going in undefeated. It won't happen again.
I don't like how we match up against the Chiefs. They are a fast defense and dynamic RB's out of the backfield like Priest Holmes, I mean Jamal Charles is a problem. They really shut down Graham last week, but I think Kelce gets paid. Rodgers needs to run from Houston.
Call me negative, but I predict a 27-24 loss next Monday. I hope I am dead wrong.
