Any KC Chiefs from Super Bowl 1 showing up?
Just Fred "the Hammer" Williamson...Donnie Anderson is going to kick him in the head one more time in a half time ceremony.
----
During his period of playing for the Chiefs, Williamson became one of football's first self-promoters, nurturing the nickname "The Hammer" because he used his forearm to deliver karate-style blows to the heads of opposing players, especially wide receivers. Before Super Bowl I, Williamson gathered national headlines by boasting that he would knock the Green Bay Packers starting receivers, Carroll Dale and Boyd Dowler, out of the game. He stated "Two hammers to (Boyd) Dowler, one to (Carroll) Dale should be enough".[5] His prediction turned out to be an ironic one because Williamson himself was knocked out of the game in the fourth quarter, with his head meeting the knee of the Packers' running back Donny Anderson and later suffered a broken arm when Chiefs linebacker Sherrill Headrick fell on him.[
Good oldschool memories.
Saw this on Deadspin, made me smile and roll my head back and forth
Five Throwgasms
Chiefs at Packers: The Packers have a knack for having unheralded players step up and play well when it matters most and it is ****ing INFURIATING. I would like the loss of a star player to crush them. But NOβ¦ no, they always have some asshole behind him ready to go because theyβre committed to internal player development because theyβre so goddamn PERFECT. Bah! I want scrubs to be SCRUBS. I want to be able to laugh at a rival team for having to put Barney ****doggle in at corner or whatever. Itβs a real let-down when Barney turns into a hidden gem, and Collinsworth is like, βYou know, Al. I think I really LIKE this ****doggle guy!β That never happens with my team. With my team, the ****ty players are ****ty.

Awesome. Thanks BartManDude.
We are really so fortunate having Ted and his staff taking care of business. This sweep of talent at CB from last year to this year is remarkable, not to mention the Montgomery addition. Pretty cool.
At first I thought this was going to be a reference to Brad Hoover.quote:The Packers have a knack for having unheralded players step up and play well when it matters most and it is ****ing INFURIATING.
Green Bay β The following is a summary of Packers coach Mike McCarthy's news conference on Saturday morning:
- (On Morgan Burnett's injury) Morgan Burnett just felt something on his calf, so obviously with the history there we pulled him out of practice. We'll see how he feels today.
- (On the severity of the injury) I think any time you're coming off a previous injury and you feel something, it's a natural response.
- (On Burnett as a player) He's a heck of a football player. ... He's definitely one of the best players on our defense.
- (On determining active roster) That's why you work all 53 players to the end. ... I've had lots of experiences where you have 45 and then you lose a guy in pregame that you thought would be on your 46. ... Until the hour and a half before the game, we don't choose our inactives to make sure we know who is up.
- (On Eddie Lacy) I thought he did some good things in his limited reps. ... We still have a lot of time between now and Monday. I think him and Davante are progressing.
- (On chemistry of Super Bowl teams) The chemistry is important for so many different reasons. For me, the toughest times are when you have success. When you have good locker room chemistry, you have to have a realist in the room who says what needs to be said and does what needs to be done. ... I'm sure that was a common theme of all the teams in the 1960s. ... You have to have the chemistry to deal with the highs, which I think is the toughest, and to deal with the lows, which I think is the most natural for these men. ... Their natural survival instinct is higher than the norm.
- (On finishing games strong) Finishing football games is always an emphasis. We talk about finishing every play when we practice every day. If you look at the way the game was played Sunday night, we came out strong. Then our opponent made a surge, took the lead in the third quarter. And frankly we took the game over in the fourth quarter.
- (On late-game turnovers) Clay's interception changed the game against Chicago. Jayrone's play changed the game against Seattle. Those are the most important plays. Obviously the timing in the fourth quarter influences the outcome of the game.
- (On Bryan Bulaga) He will be out this week. He's doing good, he's doing better, but he will not be available Monday night. ... We feel really good about where he is and his potential timeline.
Final injury report...don't like how this list keeps growing with each week
What the what?
Richardson and Rip added. Hope they are OK. Doesn't bode well that they weren't able to practice. That Joe Thomas signing may be more timely than first thought on STs.
It is 'estimated' that they wouldn't have been able to practice if the Packers had actualy practiced on Saturday.
Well damn, two backups on the report?
God definitely hates us.

Bummer about Morgan. It's Hyde time again!
Aargh, when do we play? I'm ready for it.
Bummer about Morgan. It's Hyde time again!
Let's hope Ha Ha picks up his game. His last without Burnett was rather sorry.
Awesome. Thanks BartManDude.

Not to mention their retention of Starks. How huge was that last week?
Bummer about Morgan. It's Hyde time again!
Well if there's any time for Micah Hyde to dispell the horrible rumors that he is a racist, this is it.
Well, at least KC's passing attack sucks. Their WRs have 0 TD receptions over their last 18 games.
Tschmack....
Lemme guess.
You couldn't dunk either before or after the injury.
Racist.
I used to be able to jump up and touch the net.
I used to be able to jump up and touch the net.
Tennis? badminton? Volleyball?
Hateful.
That picture is racist and sexist.
Sort of vertically challenged at 5'-11"
Don't have hops like Keifer Sykes which is a bummer
Hurt the calf backpedalling to defend a fast break. Go figure
Both Lacy and Adams confirmed as probable today. Both expected to play.
Also a very good chance of light-moderate rain through most of the game. I do wonder if field conditions get crappy if both players will get pulled.
Could slow down their pass rush?
On grass and with a wet field, definitely advantage OL. That should hopefully help Barclay.
Doh! Burnett is listed as "Out" tonight.
Looking at the radar, the rain should probably be gone by kickoff.
ESPN just said rain during the entire #Packers game. Ummm...no. Stick to sports. pic.twitter.com/E1OzACpCdr
