Are you talking about the Packer's reporting on injuries or their 3rd and short play calling?

3rd and short???? Chuck it deep. What other option is there?

McCarthy doesn't owe anyone the truth about players injuries. He has nothing to gain by putting exact timelines on when or if his players will return. It could be subterfuge, it could be that he honestly can't give specific news or exact timelines. He isn't a doctor, he relies on the team doctors to give him his info and if all he gets are wishy washy answers then that's all he can tell us. I'm sure the doctor gives him a rough timeline of a players return, but again McCarthy has nothing to gain by letting every single detail go out. I don't understand the angst some people seem to get over his injury reports. They'll come back when they come back, manage your expectations.

Honestly, how do you people come up with this garbage?

But I agree with the play or shutup part, he doesn't need to justify anything verbally ... if MM won't commit to definitive Start or not, then AR should just put a sock in it until it happens and keep helping on the sidelines.

Nonsense.  This is a game, not real life.  MM owes the fans absolutely nothing regarding injuries.  As long as he follows the league rules, the rest simply doesn't matter.

At what age did your parents tell you there was no Santa Claus?  Certainly they told you the truth as soon as you could comprehend it.

As part-owner I'm getting really frustrated that Aaron isn't answering my phone calls. Having trouble getting in touch with him. Could any other owners send me updated contact info for him? If not we should probably discuss firing him, as owners.

Hey, Flynn played half decent. I guess we have to lay our hopes on him and the lousy defense.

Flynn played poorly; we're doomed.  If yah play not to lose the game, chances are you're goin' to lose the game, especially with our D.  Our receivers and Lacy were good enough to cover Flynn's poor performance. No way I give Flynn any credit for the win.  If we make it to the Play Offs without AR, it would be due to an act of God.

Packer football, just a game???!!!  Wrong!!  It's a way of life!  JC!!!  Besides, was there not a recent study where fans of losing football teams gain more weight?  That's the last f'n thing I need!

Flynn has plenty of warts, but he has just as much in guts.

He was thrust into a role suddenly that likely offers him little in long-term commitment, has stepped up to the challenge the best he can, and has had the holy hell beat out of him every week. And he's still standing.

Disagree:

Flynn (GB): 24-32, 258, TD

75% completion percentage, over 10.5 yards per completion, a TD and only 1 interception. I will take that from Flynn every Sunday.

Those numbers force a defense to respect the pass, thereby allowing Lacy some room to run.

If Flynn has to start this Sunday, I fully expect him to have a good showing. Another week of Reps with the 1's is only going to help him.

If this game were in Green Bay, I'd feel the Packers had a good shot at winning without Rodgers. However, the Cowboys are a different team in Dallas, and they're going to be out to prove something after that disaster in Chicago. The only way the Packers probably win this one is in a shootout. I'm just going to do the ol' expect the worst, hope for the best this week.

If Rodgers' pain from last Wed [is] related to bone, obvious bad sign. If related to soft tissue, [that] can improve in a week.

Alcohol?  Drugs?  Most likely used heavily by a parent.

You all would have loved to watch this game back in the 60's. It will be flag football within 10 years. I have witnessed more Packer losing seasons then most of you have been fans. So close to a division title after going 1-4-1 it is unbelievable. What a wasted opportunity for the Lions/Bears to take our title.  It can’t be done with Flynn and all I hope is that we get the chance to knock the Bears out of the playoffs.

No surprise here but ESPN reporting the Pack are pessimistic about Rodgers playing on Sunday

MM's presser + Rodgers radio show didn't give me any confidence that he'd play. Time to sit him for the remainder of the season

If you've witnessed "more losing seasons than most of us have been alive" (I'm not one of those), then you realize the importance of not subjecting the franchise to an injury that may me career altering for the "chance" you may get into the playoffs and get bounced in the 1st round.

I have an idea that would help the DBs in the league since they've already taken the upper half of the body away and will probably take the legs out of play next year further reducing the "strike zone" on receivers.

Get rid of that stupid "can't touch the receiver after 5 yards" rule. Also, quit calling interference on plays like at the end of the Patriot game or if the DB has a hand on the waist of a WR and is playing the ball. Give the DB a chance to play and then he won't feel he has to try to dislodge the ball.

The poor guy was probably fantasizing ABOUT Santa Claus while masturbating.  What a letdown to be told right then and there that there is no Santa Claus.

This is exactly what I would like.  DB's will play right up on the receivers instead of sitting back in zones and getting a running start.  There will be fewer big hits but still a tough, physical game.  They will actually be able to defend the pass.

The Packers should be thankful Raji didn't accept that 8 million dollar a year offer.  He hasn't been worth that kind of money since 2010.  I'll be fair to Raji and say that he might prosper in a 4-3 attack defense, but certainly for the past 3 years, he's been way way too inconsistent to be a highly paid player on the Pack.

Not going to change anything. Man corners are harder to find, better paid and genererally have to be taken with higher draft picks. Asking Hyde (for example) to play a lot of man coverage would be a disaster. Tramon and Shields, on the other hand, seem to struggle in zone and are better just taking on their man. That neither guy was drafted is exceptional as most good man coverage guys traditionally have been taken in the first three rounds. It's also part of what makes Seattle tough is they were able to get guys like Sherman later than normal also.

Litening to and believing the drivvle that the ESPN "talking heads" spout is pretty pathetic. they speculate and sensationalise for clicks......... nothing more, nothing less.

I refuse to even visit the BSPN website........... CNNSI is almost as bad......

Rodgers threw on a scramble drill to his left and fired a bullet to a stationary Nelson. Didn't do that drill last week.

No Eddie Lacy at Packers practice. Rodgers was doing individuals. No Brad Jones, Lattimore, Wilson or Neal either

Packers practice: Lacy not working but here doing rehab. Rodgers doing a bit more than last week. Crucial work will come after media goes.
