A trade may be hard to make at this point from the standpoint that an owner has the option, if not an advantage, of just waiting.
I don't think TT will apply the franchise tag simply because no other team will offer Flynn that kind of money. I suspect whichever team signs him, the contract will likely be low salary (with escalators)/high guarantee. TT will stay the course and won't risk salary cap hell just for one player. We still have plenty of other players that need to be extended/re-signed.

I was among those who doubted Flynn was any good. Football Outsiders says his performance almost guarantees he will be a probowl QB at some point.
