Giants coffee talk

Can they pressure Eli?  He missed more than a few receivers yesterday when he was rushed.  Our safeties will be busy all day, but holding the Giants in check will be in the hands of our linebackers managing the middle of the field.  

I like our chances on offense.  Need to score early.  

I think this is the toughest team they could face.   If they pull it out, I see them going all the way.

Falcons running game is not to be overlooked. They'll be tougher than the Gmen

Road to the SB could very well come down to stopping OBJ, Dez and Julio with the #4 and 5 CBs and an out of position Safety.

In the meeting earlier this year. The GB OL pushed the Giants DL around. Eddie had 80 yards on 11 carries. GB ran for 150 yards total. Rodgers wasn't sacked. 

GB completely dominated that game. Both lines were really good. I'd love to have Eddie for this game. But Ty and Michael should find running room. 

The offense is playing on a completely different level than they were for that earlier meeting. And the OL should feel pretty good going into this game. 

Both teams are playing significantly better than the first time they played. 

Definitely going to need LunchPail quite a bit for protection and up the gut.  Hyde is slow but he isn't stupid.  If Gunter can do some manhandling as that's his skillset it may be enough to keep Eli out of rhythm.  I definitely agree S and ILB protection could be the key.

I guess I don't like the bettors putting the Pack at -6.5.  It'll be interesting to see what the actual line will be come Sunday morning.

They're in the playoffs.  Luck (not Andrew) is as big a factor as any. It's all house money from here.

Damon Harrison and Janoris Jenkins are the only Giants that scare me. They're a beatable team, just reduce the impact those two have and don't let OBJ get behind the D. 

Thats pretty much the formula for all the teams in the playoff. Don't let Vic Beasley and Julio Jones run the game, don't let Dak Prescott or Elliot get in rhythm, don't let Jimmy Graham or Michael Bennett dominate, etc. 

Saw an opening line of GB -4.5

might have to smack OBJ up a bit at the line and get him frazzled early and out of his game.....force him into a "1967 Bob Hayes"  mode the rest of the game.

All gravy from here on. But I don't know that we can pull this one off. Their secondary is very good as is OBJ and Cruz can be clutch. The GB secondary is a MASH unit. I see this as a game that will be won in the trenches. If our DL can put a lot of heat on Eli and our OL can generate rush yards, the field tilts in our favor.

Gotta do whatever we did in first game. Held him to 5 catches for 56 yards. 

Similar as stated: pressure on Elly, GB OL needs to win majority of the trench battles, Arod doing his thing, turnovers, and a Loud and Proud Lambeau crowd.

After the game Michaels said that he'd looked at weather forecast that said high in single digits for Sunday. I don't know where he looked, Weather Channel is saying 19 right now. 

Any word on the injured?

And need to get the O line penaltys cleaned up.....3rd and long is not where we need to be against a good D...

Cobb had a big game against NY in week 5. Match-up GB should go after again. 

In the post season, defense still wins. The Giants defense is much better than the Packers defense. The Giants secondary especially has been playing great; they still can rush the passer, though not like 2007, 2011, blitzing more than they used to. The Packers secondary is a train wreck and as usual the Packers have little to offer in the pass rush. Neutralize Beckham and go from there.

The Giants OL is average, so the Packers need to pressure Eli against that OL. Flowers has had a number of bad games at LT.

The TE play will need to step up vs. that Giants secondary.

Landon Collins has had a great year. Secondary as a whole is pretty solid, but they've benefitted from strong d line play. I'm not sure if Cook played the first time they played, but he might be key to both run and pass game on Sunday.

Giants have a running game the Lions don't have. And wide receivers that can make big time plays. This game makes me nervous. 

Agree, RMan....that is why the opening spread is curious.   All the big bettors know the Packers history against the Giants in the playoffs at Lambeau.  Then, look at the health of the rosters at this time and I'm not sure why the Packers are a 6.5 point favorite.

Different teams, different coaches for the Giants.  History means nothing.

I'm actually intrigued by the MM/Mcadoo show down considering they know each other's tendencies.  I would guess they are both going to throw everything out the window for this game.
