I'd love to have Eddie Lacy on Sunday. You put Eddie into this offense right now with Ty and Michael and I don't give anyone a lottery chance of stopping them.

Heck yeah, just not last year's Eddie and not all by himself.

So you want no part of last years Eddie that averaged 6.4 yards per on 24 carries in two playoff games?

WC says high of 15 with 9 MPH wind. The last game that was forecast to be extremely cold (Seattle?), turned out to be warmer than predicted, I don't see the weather being a factor.

One of the best stories I recall hearing RE Weather and Lambeau was at the Ice Bowl, many of the Dallas Cowboy fans there showed up in suits (linen/silk) and fodera hats with their wives showing up in high heels, short skirts and maybe a fur collar at the top of their button down short jackets. It was -15 with WC's dipping as low as -26 to -30. Apparently the Cowboy fans made it about a quarter out in the stands before bailing the hell out of there.

I covered Packers-Giants in October and, if I were a Packers fan, what I saw that night would concern me. Aaron Rodgers had arguably his worst game of the season against a team coached by Ben McAdoo, a longtime Packers offensive assistant. Rodgers was intercepted twice and completed just 51%, his lowest in the last 24 games. At the time McAdoo was asked about his knowledge of Rodgers and said, "I'm not counting on that for much." It sure didn't look that way.

Think Rodgers has picked up his game just a bit since October, Bob.

Giants must have won that game by a lot.

Since I failed two of my four sons educating them on which was the greatest team in the NFL they became fans of the Giants & the other the Falcons. I state this cuz I had to sit & watch many, too many, Giants games. The one thing that is most apparent to me is this; Keep pressure on Eli,hit him, knock him down & he will start throwing wild, inaccurate passes (PICKS).

Given the size of the Giants LBs compared to the Lions, I think Rip will get fewer carries, but I could see Monty ripping off some long gainers that just set the table for some more Arod TD passes...

When our guys gain 7-8 yards on 1st down, our offense runs on a completely different level. Conversely, when we gain only 2-3 yards on 1st down, the offense tends to struggle more.
I agree Monty could be the perfect 'set-up' for 2nd-and short situations. And that's when ARod is most dangerous.

I have been disappointed with our pass rush. Some of that is due to other teams beating it with quick throws, screens, delays and the cushion we give their receivers in zone coverage. Also we have Clay, Perry and Elliot playing hurt or not at all. We try to blitz and it gets picked up. Instead we need our front d-line to get constant pressure with the occasional LB or D-back blitzing. We need a big day from the big men, with others doing their jobs well. Push the pocket where Eli lives. I have seen too many blitzes not get home and a big play happens against us. I agree that pressure on Eli is a key. But that's easier said than done with the weapons we currently have.

I am ok winning a shootout too.

I'm continuing to see a stream of East Coast bias about the Giants all week. Fine. Games are won on the field. Arod undoubtedly remembers those two home losses in the playoffs, even if he didn't play in the first.

Eli is almost the only guy left from those teams so that doesn't have much of an effect.  The talking heads I saw today, after praising the NYG D and Manning's performance in the playoffs, all picked GB.  Not that that matters either.

My oldest is an Eagles fan. Shouldn't allow the wolves to raise our kids.

Then again. Hard to find a guy in GB that's caused more incompletions than Janis.

Defending passes with his face?

You don't see that kind of commitment from Randall and Rollins do you? Just saying....

Well, our local native American poster did mention Janis' extraordinary commitment to this team.
