You get NotAwuzie instead.  The only thing about Josh Jones in his profiles I didn't like is that he played wild, overshooting at times.  He better not be the highlight hit guy.

Dix had a lot of that in him early on..  Seemed to get under control last year.

So it's Kevin Kings B-Day. (Mike Daniels too) and HaHa stays in GB to take King and Josh Jones out to dinner.

Mad respect for my bro @haha_cd6 !! A true leader on our team, welcoming @King_kevvoo & @JoshJones11_ the right way #GodBless #GoPackGo

I'm telling you. HaHa is becoming the leader of this defense. And this is a very good thing.

Is that a mudslide?    Cut that pansy now.

That would mean Cutler is calling the NFCC game.  So King can pick him off to seal the win.  I realize Cutler will be in the booth but I still think he finds a way to make it happen.

Maybe I'm dreaming, but I hope the Packers go back to playing more press man coverage than they have of late. I miss the Newsome/Evans/McKenzie/ Harris/Woodson/Williams days of challenging receivers at the line and ****ing up their ****.

I agree Herschel, play press man like other teams played us. I got the feeling that our own DB's did not have the skills/experience/speed/health to do so. I hope Dom dusts off his notebook/tablet with those plays.

Dude, that post got me all wet. That would be awesome!

I would at least like our DB's to challenge the receiver at or near the LOS. Mugging them would be nice but I would be glad if we did not give them a 10 yard cushion. I wonder if Dom would let Witt teach them to cover that way?

He matches up well with Julio but I'm not sure about AJ Green.  King had problems in college and in PS with quicker WR's.  He is a tad stiff for handling fancy feet.  Would love to see him try though.

King bested AJ Green in combine stats in everything except bench (11 reps vs. 18 reps for Green). I don't think, athletically speaking, there's anything Green could do that King can't match. Green is a pretty sharp veteran though, his experience and savvy route running is what makes him a tough match up for King.

King is the best corner in GB. If someone wants to say he's being compared to a marginal group of corners, fine. But he's the best corner in GB.

Dom needs to get the **** out of his own way, grow a pair, and put King on the other teams best WR. Watching King fight through a screen and get into Andre Roberts back pocket and then get a hand in front of Ryan's pass on a crossing route. Then putting himself in perfect position and giving Ryan no window on a quick out to Julio on 1st and goal. Kid can play. And King is spot on when he said he didn't come to GB to sit and watch.

What I never want to see again is Randall or Rollins getting worked by recievers like Jones and Green for the better part of the first half before someone decides that King might be a better option.

I'll give a great example of why King needs to start.

One of Atlanta's favorite routes is a combo post dig. Here is film of Atlanta running it twice Sunday night out of a two back set / PA fake.

Play 1. Gabriel / Jones with Gabriel running the post. Randall covering Jones. Here's the clip

You can see Randall is trail and catch from the get go. Pretty easy completion.

Play 2. Jones / Gabriel run the same combo route out of the same formation / PA fake. This time Gabriel runs the dig being covered by King. Keep in mind Gabriel is much faster than Jones. Scroll down to Play #5

King not only runs with Gabriel he's also in perfect position. Each time the deep safety went with the post route leaving the dig single covered. Gabriel is tougher to cover on the dig given his 4.3 speed and the ground a DB has to cover to stay with him.

Sorry. But King is the full time starter. Period.

If there is one thing that I will side with coaches on, it's that playing DB in the NFL is extremely hard for the inexperienced.  There's so many different combinations of things that offenses do, and they do it much faster than they do it in college.  As talented as King is, he has to be in the right place and coordinated with his teammates at all times.  I can see where coaches might want to limit a rookie's playing time because he isn't sure where he's supposed to be in certain situations.

Heck, even with experienced guys, you see it all the time where a CB passes a receiver off to a Safety that isn't there because he read the play differently than the CB did.  Add inexperienced guys and the risk of that type of mistake is higher.   Now that all said... if King is showing that he's assignment sure and reading plays well enough that he's not going to be making those type of mistakes, his physical talent certainly warrants a starting position, that is pretty obvious.

There is no reason Randall can't be successful as he is a good athlete with decent speed and good footwork.  However, he's not the biggest or most physical dude and his techniques seem to be lacking or sloppy.  To me, some of those flaws are coaching related.  I also think his confidence is a bit shot which is never a good sign.

Rollins was a risk in that while he has good balance and quickness and instincts he's not fast enough in terms of top end speed and gambles a lot and that's where he's been exposed.  People have tape on him and his lack of CB experience becomes apparent.

King really has the entire package - elite size and speed and quickness and we saw him disrupt a number of plays on Sunday night as a result.  He still needs to develop and improve but at this point you have to get him out there.  We've seen what the other guys can do.   I'd have House as the other boundary corner and Jones to play inside guarding the slot.

King is clearly the best CB on the roster.  Sure, he'll take his lumps, but he's the only guy that can hang with #1 receivers like Green.  Dom's a dip**** if King isn't shadowing the #1 wr from here on out.
